John, I’ll check out the price on the Partfinder disk in the morning for you.
As the clock has had liquid damage and blown itself to bits, there’s little chance of a repair, I know QER will generally return any with blown tracks etc.

As far as the forum goes, “Related Trades Forum” then. Let’s say we trial it and see how it goes. Personally I would like to support and encourage any person who is looking at getting their foot in the door in this trade, it’s badly undermanned and underskilled at the moment, we can only try to help aleviate the problem.

Hmm. It depends on what you would consider good really.
As penguin says, cheap enough, but there are always disadvantages to taking the “cheap” option.
The parts are very reasonable pricewise, IF you can get hold of them (I have Teba customers still waiting from February for spares :?)
Quality, there are improvements from the original stuff that was released in the UK, but still not that great to be fair.
If you can stretch to it, go for the £600 option 😉

Nemo offered technical help as he has some techy info at hand. The disk doesn’t exist anymore, I asked BSH directly, they do have a technical help line though, who were most helpful.

“Associated Trades Forum” seems OK to me.
What we will have to be careful of though is not posting error codes and giving direct technical advice, which rather leads me to think “what’s the point?” as that would be the same as the public one’s to an extent.
So, more thought on this I think, how do we verify ? How much info can we give ? Who do we allow ?
