It’s called consumerism, I wouldn’t necessarily lay all of the blame with the manufacturers. The public have, over the years pressurised the large retailers into demanding cheaper everything, so in turn, to keep the sheds happy the manufacturers have had to cut corners on quality to meet demand for lower priced appliances.

There does seem to be a slight upturn in this trend of late though, mainly in consumer attitude, and we should (and probably are) helping that 😀

Soveriegn Appliances on 01527 578333 are the distributor for spares as well as the product I believe.

Try bypassing the relay and see what happens, they are dropping like flies 😉

Turn the washer off, then turn the dial to any black dot. Now turn the washer on and you should see the power indicator light flash 3 times. On the third flash turn washer off again and select a wash programme. Turn the washer on again and after a couple of seconds the machine should start.

    Like that 😉

It may well be the board then.

Try QER, they may do a test and repair service on those.

    Re: Dyson Washing Machine?

Well, I know that the valves are Eaton type and the motor is made by Ceset, so on the assumption that Dyson are not manufacturing many of the components themselves, the pump will almost certainly be an Askoll.

Re: NEff FL W4380X1 GB/01 washing machine.

I know it may sound obvious but has the on/off switch been checked ?

I’m not sure how it’s wired, but I would magine 240V would reach certain parts of the main PCB even in the “off” position.

We’ve had loads of those switches fail.

Welcome to the site by the way 😀

OK, thanks for the info Richard.

I wasn’t blaming ISDAL by the way, but the info I was given yesterday from your office was that all Teba refrigeration parts were obsolete with no further explanation. No matter though.

What makes this worse for our customer is they are in a related trade and one of their engineers damaged the fridge door while carrying out other work, looks like they’ll have to buy her a new fridge now, hope they are fully insured 😉

    Re: IBERNA No Frost

You should be able to get a generic frost free fan motor in there I expect, there aren’t that many variations.

If you remove it and take a piccy then email it to me I can get it uploaded so we can recognise it.

    Regards
