Re: Creda Reflections Oven Control Panel Lights Problem

Ah, it’s built in double oven then which may make things a little trickier.

The knobs just pull off as do the timer butttons, the glass should then be able to be removed by removing the outer glass trim, screws could be anywhere to be honest, if you’re unsure, I would get an engineer to do it for you.

The tube looks like a 13w mini fourescent as is the norm for these cookers.

Re: timer fascia or programmer knob – somethings wrong

    Hi Barry.

First of all check that the knobs are correct, as this oven is made by Smeg, the part number should be 764972160.

The spring mechanism you mention is built in to the timer unit itself, which to be honest is what the problem sounds like, heat has distorted the plastic moulding of the timer unit, if this turns out to be the case, the timer is £133.04 plus VAT.

It may be worthwhile considering calling an engineer to verify this of course.

Re: Creda Reflections Oven Control Panel Lights Problem

Colin, it will be a flourescent tube behind the glass control panel normally which involoves removing all the knobs etc and the glass panel, the tube should be behind there.

If you can post the model number I should be able to identify which tube you will need as Creda used a couple of different types.

Make sure it’s switched off and isolated from the main supply 1st before attempting any repairs !

    Regards.

    Re: Bosch Bearing Seal

Maddocks do a Blomberg bearing seal that’s virtually identical apart from the outer extra lip is not quite as wide but the general dimensions are the same (shaft and housing).

I’ll order one and see if it does the job, as it’s only 63p 😯 it’s worth a try.

Forgive me if I’m mistaken here, but I was trying to help, perhaps you are Kev by reminding me of that reply, which I haven’t forgotten believe me 😉

The reply came from sources above, not the words of miss Loach, sent only via her email address in the form of a Word document as it was her I asked for confirmation of the clause so it was only correct that a reply should come back from her.

Believe me, my intentions were only to gain the information required to recompense those who have lost, I have no personal bones to pick with Jo Lo or anyone else who remains at NESN for that matter, I do not have it within my nature to lust revenge on anyone, that’s just not in my nature I’m afraid, and if my offer to help put things straight have caused offence, I’m sorry.

    Re: NESN and kheath

Let’s just say that I am using the current situation as a bargaining tool at the moment, last week I was approached by Jo Lo to do a call, right out of the blue.

So, I sent her back a reply telling her a few facts and that ammends needed to be made before any progress on that front would be considered. Firstly I wanted an appology for the treatment some of us recieved from NESN, the request was forwarded to the board of directors so I agreed to do the call, which turned out to be a waste of time as we’ed already done it as a chargeable, but that’s bye the bye. You get the picture anyway.

I recieved an appology from Dave Henry today, albeit a little strained shall we say, I told him I wanted more and named the names of those people who I wanted put right, we’ll see what happens on that front.

They want work done, they return the favour, even if I don’t get paid, I’ll use the tool of bargaining until such time that ammends are made and matters put right, especially in Kevin’s place, as IMO he has undoubtedly come out the worst in all this.

So, lets all keep our cool about this and play clever until the leech is named and the debts repaid.

    Nope 🙁

I phoned the current Servis national spares distributor and they don’t have it listed either, it must be an old model.

Photo the fan element and email me the photo, I should be able to supply a replacement no problem.

I didn’t get your email about the Bosch pump either 😉

To be honest Kristoflampie, I would call an engineer if I were you.

It will save you a lot of time and possibly money in the long run, as misdiagnosis on your part could end up with you fitting costly spares that won’t be the actual fault.

Let us know your postcode, someone here should be able to help.

    Dave.
