    That’s a Whirlpool made version.

As it’s six months old, MFI/Whirlpool will repair free of charge as long as you have a valid reciept.

    Re: Rudolph Bows Out

Thank you Rudi for all your contributions, and yes I agree with your reasons for bowing out.

Respect has been gained from many of the WP’s etc out there, and much of what has been an issue is no longer. An understanding has been reached in many ways, but, as you rightly say, we can’t be complacent and not keep an eye on things.

So, I applaud your input and the resulting changes that may have been brought about from that, and I applaud your gracious departure.

Let’s hope you are not bothered by too many returns eh ?

ohreally, if you could post the product number of the appliance the timer is from I’ll have a look at the TDS disk and see if there’s a wiring diagram on there for you.

Re: Smeg American Style Fridge Freezer Not Getting Cold

The only thing I can see that is easily checked is the adjustable duct at the bottom of the fridge.

There should be a lever there at the lower left corner in the fridge, it adjusts the airflow between there and the freezer, check both sides for obstruction as this unit relies on air flow to keep the fridge at the correct temperatue.

Other than that it’s a case of calling an engineer I’m afraid. If you pop your postcode here, there are quite a few Smeg agents on the site, one of them should be able to assist further.

Unless somone has got one in stock on here, it looks like hanging on for Brandt to get them back in stock 🙁

I’ve sent them a message asking for a due date, at least that way you can give your customer an idea.

    Re: Bosch WFL2462GB/12

Looking at the blow up diagram of this machine, there’s very little else in there it can be, apart from the door lock, but then the lights on the control panel would still come on.

Laurence, have a look at Connect’s ELE8836, it looks pretty similar to me, it just doesn’t have the bolts, only threaded holes by the look of it 😀

That’s not the model number I’m afraid.

Check inside the fridge and remove the salad bins, there should be the rating plate in there somewhere with loads of info on it.

I’d need the model number of the washing machine and tumble dryer to check the part number suitable for this, as Ken says, your local Service Force agent would be the best bet.

If you go here, this will find your nearest one: http://www.serviceforce.co.uk/locator.asp

But I can help with the part number I expect with the relevent model details.

Yes I see your dilemna, everyone including Agora (Brandt themselves) are out of stock, even Connect’s pattern version is nil.

Can you take a photo and email it to me or Ken, we can post it then, someone may have a suitable replacement.

Either that or it’s a case of getting the drill out and making some new holes in the cooker 😉

    Re: Comet/British Gas?

    Yeah, marvellous isn’t it ?

Comet get a ‘rebate’ from BG of £100 for selling an appliance that uses less energy, BG sell that energy so make less profit from those customers that take up the offer….

…a little odd, but someone’s on a nice little earner I’m sure.

Anyway, apparently Retra are looking in to this as it seems a tad unfair as far as independants go (slight understatement).
