I did, and there were three versions of this model made with suffix’s WH, obviously white, AV which is brown and IX which is the stainless version.

I have looked up the equivelent IX parts as follows:

    Facia panel £64.00
    Knob £11.19
    Handle insert £32.71
Small button at 2’o clock to the main knob £11.19 (this is only showing in white)

The above are retail prices from Whirlpool and include VAT.

If you want to order them let me know by email or pm, BUT as stated I can make no guarantee that the parts haven’t been superseded, as manufacturers are only obliged to supply a “suitable” replacement and suitable means that it will fit physically only. Though from experience Whirlpool will almost certainly supply the correct colours.

    Re: Local Trading Standards Authority

I just checked the Devon County Council Trading Standards website and they are now doing a scheme called “Customer First”.

    http://www.devon.gov.uk/index/business/ … rfirst.htm

    It’s free and I just applied 🙂

    Re: Smeg Power Board

Buster, there is no power board as such, only a fan control pcb. If that has failed the part will cost you £60.37 inc VAT plus whatever you’re local engineer charges to fit it.

    Hope that helps

    Dave.

PS I’ve only answered you’re double enquiry once 😉

    Re: HOMARK SPARES

Well that model isn’t listed on Agora, so that rules out Brandt.

The only other is possibly EAC as they have now got the contract for these appliances I believe, or perhaps it’s only the Bernstien products, it’s worth a try though.

Apart from that, then no, I can’t help, sorry.

John, what part is it you need ?

Caremark only list 6 parts for this model on their site at :

    http://www.caremarkspares.co.uk/private/start.htm

They do look like Bosch parts though, probably the Balay made versions by the looks of it.

Re: Hotpoint WM Series Armatures OBSOLETE!

Rather than clog up the “Bulk Buy” thread with this, I’ll post it here as it is more specific.

SEME have plenty of 1603071 armatures in stock. Please check the price out as I know they have different levels for different accounts, my normal trade price is showing as £19.63 for a guide.

I have though negotiated a rate of £18.25 in 25’s with the white goods spares manager there. I have told him about UKW and this thread, and the reason they have so many is they knew a while back about the obsolete problem and bought hundereds.

For those that don’t have an account with SEME, I can order some on behalf of any UKW trade member, I will for tax reasons have to show a small mark up though and obviously pass on any carriage costs.

If you want some, please email or PM me.

    LOL 😆 probably !

The other option to save the Whirlpool mugs being chucked is to buy the UKW thong and use it as a glove to stop you’re hands getting burned 😉

Just a thought on this, the Bosch WTA2000GB/?? range of dryers are all made by Crosslee, apart from the cosmetics all the parts are available at less than 1/2 the price from there. This particular thermostat is even available as a patttern spare as it fits a huge range of Crosslee made dryers, White Knight, Whirlpool as well as Bosch to name the most popular.

Hence my previous post in this or a similar thread, I no longer accept any calls for these machines, I refer them to Merloni. That will continue until a satisfactory technical solution is made available, so I guess I’ll never repair another one then 😉

The customers though are probably just replacing the machine with a better quality appliance rather than pay the call out fee.
