Well I gote *SOME* money today, not anywhere near what they owe though 😥
I also have absolutely no idea which jobs they have paid for either, just a cheque attached to LG headed paper with our address, handwritten 🙄
Ho hum, I’ll have to spend half of Monday on the phone to them again then 👿

To help anyone who may think they have one, the part number is (was)572420418004 now obsolete.
Dave (the other one)
PS Dave, if you get no joy, bring the old one in here, I have loads of s/h p/switches, we may be able to match it up.

ParticipantRe: Tool Cases.
Personally I would opt for the RS one. I replaced mine last year with a new one, the old one cost me about £90 and lasted me the best part of ten years, and I only replaced the inner boards once because the elastic tool holders snapped. Those only cost me about £25 for the pair I think, so all in all a pretty good investment at a little over a tenner a year.
The CPC one’s are Ok, I’ve bought a couple for engineers here, but they don’t last anywhere near as long and you can’t buy the replacement boards for most of them.

ParticipantRe: Replacement Inner Glass Panel of oven door
If Richard would be kind enough to check the glass size against you’re measurements just to verify it is the correct part, any ISDAL agent can get this for you. I will gladly supply it, as it is glass another agent nearer you may be able to help, it would then save on the problems of posting it and breakages etc.
We’ll await richards reply, and if you pop you’re postcode here, someone may be able to sort it for you, if not I will.
Regards.

Yes that’s the number John.
Hardly ever use it TBH, I always use Fastrak for ordering, what are you after ?
If you are trying to set up an account or similar, PM me, I have contact details I can’t post here 😉

I just wanted to highlight the WITH in Rudi’s reply there.
That is the key word, and I’m very glad to see a reply from a WP who are willing to respond to the posts here.
I have been contaced on more than one occasion to become an agent for Gbdar, but as the previous posts will show, the rates are presently unworkable, due to pre booked calls, 50{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} reduction for BER calls and costly spares that no-one can afford to stock to increase their 1st time hits.
As I have never worked for GBdar, I can’t really comment on working conditions, not having had first hand experience, but if they are willing to talk and negotiate, who knows 😉
Maybe a massive discount on van stocks and scrap the BER rate ?

ParticipantRe: Fridge Leaking Water
Ah, I didn’t realise it was only 6 months old, which rather changes you’re options here.
Ultimately you will need to ask Magnet’s advice, they may require Whirlpool to call out if only to ascertain whether the fridge or the installation is at fault, either way it will not be you’re financial problem, if the fridge is faulty, Whirlpool Service will sort that out and if it is an installation fault, it will be down to Magnet to rectify.

ParticipantRe: Fridge Leaking Water
Steve, yes you are correct, the water should evaporate from the tray, this is a slightly different type than I described previously but the principal is the same. The tray should be warmed by a pipe coming from the compressor carrying “hot” gas. Unfortunately these types of fridges do tend to suffer with slow internal gas leaks, thereby the gas may be insufficient to warm the tray enough to cause evaporation.
Is the fridge actually cold enough ? Is the motor running for long periods without cutting out ?
If either of the above are suspect, the fridge may be low on gas.

ParticipantRe: Fridge Leaking Water
When you say the condenser tray, do you mean the plastic tray on top of the compressor (the big black unit at the back) ? If so. it may just be that it positioned too far away from the compressor, which generates heat and causes the water in it to evaporate. Frigidaire had a similar problem with a couple of models, and all that needs doing it to reposition the tray so that it is sat nearer the compressor.
Hope this may help.

Please do ! This is a very interesting topic, sadly our local TS don’t operate such a sceme at the moment, but perhaps they are aware of it and Martin’s area is the “Guinea Pig”.

ParticipantFlipper wrote:Dave, are you anywhere near being paid up tp date yet.
Yes, they only owe me about £800, mainly very old jobs where the retailers have gone under or disputed/rejected MFI invoices. I no longer recieve the monthly payment slips so it’s now quite hard to tell, especially as I haven’t run webcomms for at least two months. The advance payment was withrawn in November, so now it’s a case of “we will pay you when we get paid” syndrome.
TBH If I had not heeded Ted’s advice and got out the way I did, it could have been a damn site more.

ted wrote:you should post this in the nesn thread
Ted, I would love to, the trouble is, this was a one off letter written to me and I would then be in breach of the confidentiality clauses (bearing in mind NESN view the forum almost daily). I have considered passing it elswhere for a posting, but that would be too obvious as well. Best left for those of us privy to TWR methinks.
