Re: Hotpoint washing machine – Size of problem

if you accidently hold the start and on/off buttons it puts it into a test/demo mode. you need to push start and on/off again and “doff” should appear, you should now be able to use the appliance as normal. Abit bit of naff idea having the buttons that enter the test mode so close togehter if you ask me 🙄

if you accidently push the on/off and start buttons together, this put the appliance into a test/demo mode. to cancel it you just need to push the on/off and start buttons at the same time and “d off” should be displayed on the screen and it should now work as normal

    Re: Door reversal Hpt’ CTD00

I have only just replaced a damaged door and hung it the same way, but according to the techinical manual its just a matter of swapping the hinges. The only other possibilty is the door is made up of an inner and outer panel that are clipped together(quoting the manual). the only other suggestion i have is that you have to seperate the two halves , and spin the outer panel 180 degrees so the holes are on the other side. Only one part number listed for the door.

Re: Hotpoint RLA51 fridge – noisy

My experience with the newer hotpoint range(rla, ffa, rza ect) with r600 refridgerant is that they do tend to make more noise than the earlier models, they do make a grunting, gurgling noise. But for peice of mind get hotpoint to check it out.

F4 is a drain fault, check that there isn’t a blockage at the drain hose connection

It is just a matter of swapping the hinges to the other side, the holes are pre drilled and just need the blanking plugs removed, the door switch is central so no need to to touch this.

    moisy,

i think that when i no.1 prog light flashes this is telling you that the base pan has water in it,make sure you switch the machine off, the base pan is held by 6 screw (3 at front + 3 on back), the pan has a float in it and if it fills with water it switchs the pump on continiously. you’ll need to check for leaks, but i have also heard that if the filters have been blocked this can cause it to overfill and water to overflow out of a breather into the base pan
