i’ve had an earth fault on the heater show up strange faults on these models before, so might be worth checking. have you tried setting program and blowing into the p/switch to see if it sets?

    Re: wma tub

the “wma” tub is being phased out in production of new machines to the welded tank – so its on its way!. as far as i’m aware the rear halves will still be available, the wma bearing replacement in indesit service is purely a penny saving exercise, they are trying to claw the pennies back on every repair. over time i’m sure production of rear halves will cease, but i think they will still be available for a couple of years aleast.

Re: Hotpoint First Edition DF54 dishwasher will not end prog

IF MY MEMORY SERVES ME CORRECLTY THIS IS THE BRANDT BUILT MODEL WITH THE TIMER BEHIND THE KICK PANEL. THE USER ONLY HAS A 2 POSITION SELECTOR SWITCH. SO IF IT GETS STUCK IN THE HEAT CYCLE THE USER HAS NO WAY OF ADVANCING THE TIMER TO PUMP OUT.

    Re: Newish Hotpoint D/W

you have to twist the ferrule to lock it onto the sump. you will proberly need a piece of wood under the sump so you can apply abit of downward pressure when fitting the ferrule. i’ve only done one and it wasn’t easy getting the sump locked back in

Re: Hotpoint FFM70 Fridge Freezer problems!!

try clering the drain hole in the back of fridge by using a thin plastic straw because it blocked (being careful not to loose it down the hole). I have also known for the drain hole not to be punched out in manufacture. With regard to the temp problems, the only thing i can suggest is try giving the appliance a good defrost as there may be excessive ice built up on the freezer evaporator. If this is the case you would need to have this investigated to find the cause of the ice build up. To be honest I would call an enginner to check over both faults
