ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WM52P Timer blown?
iadom wrote:I never replace a timer for this fault, it is quite simple to solder a small link wire to the PCB and connect it directly to the corresponding black lead from the connector block. Never had one fail afterwards. Door interlock is a very common cause of this fault, motor/armature fault will also cause it.
Jim.
I have had that problem a few times. Its a pity that manufactors dont put fuses on the boards.DDDave
ParticipantSorry for not getting back here sooner. I called on Monday. The drum was rotating ok. I replaced the solonoid coil as I didnt have the triple valve in stock and BINGO dryer works. Happy customer. That saves me the embarrasment of getting a board and then finding the same fault again. Thank you guys for your help.

😀 Unfortunately I am not a young lad. 24 years in the business but have not had this problem before. I went to my suppliers this morning. They had the correct eprom in stock (why didnt they tell me I needed one when buying the board ?? :violent: ). Parts are fitted and machine has gone through a test wash. 8)
Thank you all for your help.

ParticipantI use a large syringe type of tool I got in my local motor factors. Its steel and made by Sealy tools. It is very handy for draining dishwasher sumps and flood trays. Draper also sell them.

ParticipantThanks all. I will have to recheck it again in the morning.

kiddo66 wrote:Did you change both thermistors as the wash thermistor can play a part in faults with these washers.
I changed the wash thermister and tested the dryer one. Both tested ok.

I am still having problems with this machine. I have replaced the element & thermister but the same fault code still comes up. I have also tested the wiring from the board to the thermister , its ok. Is there a reset on the board ?? Any ideas please.

I cant find this fault listed in the fault code section.
They are there, page four of the Known Error Codes thread. 🙂
Jim.
Hi Jim.
That gives me fault code O3 – F03….OFF, OFF, Flash, Flash, OFF.
Can you tell me where the list is to decode the fault code.
Thanks
