Re: Siemens sn25m830uk Dishwasher No heat F09 fault

Update. No live from module to heater. Read somewhere else that might be lack of water due to partially blocked transfer pipe from metering tank to sump not activating pressure switch.
Have to go back and bung a couple of kettles of water into machine to see if it heats.
Been doing this for decades. Beginning to think I’m rubbish.
Why is it that you check all you can, and when you’re in the van 5 miles from the job, you think of something you have not tested? …… or is that just me?
Hey-ho, electrical appliances eh … why? Could have been a plumber … or a doctor … 2 basic models, various sizes, lots of info and diagrams.

Re: Neff B6774NOGB/02 microwave fault code

Recieved info for someone that when the mag goes faulty on this model , it breaks the glass and sometimes takes out the inverter.
The problem is, Originally the customer phoned me, saying he needed an inner glass. gave me full model details, so I just ordered and fitted the glass, before trying it and finding the micro faulty.
I have charged him for the work+part (part not cheap) and now its just an expensive ornament because he probably wont want to pay for the mag and invertor.
    Its never easy …is it?

Re: How is British Gas as an employer

    Hello again AC.
AC DC is quite right. We both have ‘experience’ working for BG.
Dont do it if you want to maintain your sanity.
9 year ago when I started with them, it was a good place.
In their efforts to become a ‘safe’ workplace, they have destroyed everything which made them good. The management regime is brutal and bullying. Before I ‘left’ we were on up to 10 jobs a day. Mileage did not seem to matter to them. Jobs could not be returned unattended without a big row and numerous phone calls, (if you could get anyone to answer one).
Every job, even the smallest, took 45mins at least with all the safety checks/barriers/at risk forms etc.
A good place ruined by little jumped-up brainwashed hitlers.

If I saw Lee Parker in the pub .. I would stab him. Of course ..if he was going to go into such a risky place, he would have his stab vest underneath his hi-vis jacket !!

I’m glad I am shot of the place.
I keep my two-inch thick disciplinary folder, documenting my failings, in my van … just to remind me of how good a life I am now having away from the bastards.

Re: Neff B6774NOGB/02 microwave fault code

Thanks for the reply. If I’m reading this properly .. The sensor fault showed after fitting glass only. Fault clearing after fitting the frame part ?

I have been googling re this fault, and it seems to be quite common. Glass breaking, then discovering internal fuse blown.
After replacing fuse, some work –some dont. All further google advice becomes guesswork. Most suggestions being Mag or inverter, so problem is never solved because micro is junked because of cost.
Never saw any sparking during the few seconds it was on, but I will contact cust and get him to try it in the dark.

    Thanks . Den

madangler1 wrote:If its completely dead and your getting power to the module at the bottom I’d bet the bottom board is dead.

Quite common failure on these, they also seem to attract slugs as well so check the back of the board for the fried remains of the little beggar.

Thats strange. I just came across one of these with the bottom board blown. There was a strange ‘slug shaped’ lump stuck to the board. I thought it was just a burnt resistor or something.
Ive never known pcb’s to attract slugs.
    Weird.

See my recent post re this request.

    Re: Hotpoint Fimware question

Had to check the date on that last post.
Thought it may have been from 1st April 😕

The actual reason it spins ‘the wrong way’ is because the earth spins the opposite way, meaning that, effectively, the rotation of the planet, combined with the opposite rotation of the drum, means that gravitationally, the clothes within are pushing against the surface of the drum with more pressure, relieving them of more of their moisture.
    Thought everyone knew that.

The problem is … if everyone in China had their washing machines on spin at the same time (its possible, because, having Fenshui, all Chinese machines are lined up the same way, with their drum shafts facing North, so that the essence of evil dirt falls out of the South facing door portal), the combined force would work like a brake, and the world would stop spinning.
Therefore .. all hotpoint machines sold in China spin in the opposite direction to those sold in Europe, to balance the forces, and keep the planet revolving at roughly the right speed.
If you order a Chinese module, this would make your machine spin in the direction you desire.
Remember to pull out the plug before fitting the Chinese module or you may leceive a fatar eretric shock.
