Great choice of machine, I have that model at home you don’t hear it running unless you put your ear to it 😀

Though from what I’ve read the new “tray” for cutlery (rather than basket), slides in at the very top, stops wine glasses from going in.

Yes the cutlery tray is at the top and I must admit when we first had it I thought what a faff but after a while you load it to your liking, I have to say the cutlery wash results are superb.

No cutlery basket in the bottom tray means there is also more room. Wine glasses still fit as well. If you have really long stems you can drop the top basket height without removing it.

    Hi

Is there no ENR number on the inside of the door as BSH spares website does not recognize E46.38.

Have moved your enquiry to trade spares 😉

Yes sealed drum, but it has the quality of a Bosch with a free 5 year warranty!

My thanks to all those that contributed and helped. It really made a difference.

Just to get back on topic ladies and gentlemen 🙂

Good choice made going for the Siemens Lincon especially as it has the 5 year warranty.

    Hi

These are very low volume machines usually shipped out at silly prices by the nationals.

You are probably best off in returning the whole machine to Bissell who will repair, service and guarantee the repair for three months. The £75 fee includes carriage both ways as well.

DIY repair? There is an article on the Bissell support site here which may help.

    HTH 🙂

    Hi

Most manufacturers require a width of 560- 570 internal. That said Gorenje built under double is 548 wide but they require 562-565 internal width.

You are going to have to be careful in what you fit. If you don’t heed the manufacturers installation instructions you could invalidate your guarantee. Most manufacturers websites will give you installation measurements. You hard work begins now 😉

    Hi

It does sound that way I’m afraid. Rather it fails while it’s under guarantee though 😉

As it’s under warranty a phone call to Bosch 0844 892 8979 or you can book a call online on the Bosch website. Just remember to have the date of purchase, ENR no and the FD number to hand as without this you will not be able to book a call.

    Hi

Gas ovens have certainly gone out of favour with the public in the last few years. Whether this is down to the number of cooking progs on the telly, the increasing price of gas or the costly price of gas ovens or a combination of all three. As I said before there is only one group really now and even they have reduce the number of models in the last 12 months.

The most popular combo these days are electric oven with gas hob over.

When it comes to quality / ease of product and durability the Bosch range of built in appliances do take some beating. The two year guarantee is also a good benefit. Bosch have also won the Which best appliance brand for the last four years so they do know what they are about.

Your best bet is to visit your local independent electrical retailer who should be able to “package” all the elements you require.

    Hi Lincon

I have resized your images and added them via the upload button which makes them more manageable to see 😀

So you have a twin cavity built under gas oven and a gas hob to replace?

Belling, New World and Stoves are the only group who now sell these. The New World NW701GSS is a direct replacement for what is in there. Belling BI70GSS is a double oven which may make life easier for your parents to have a top oven. The grill in the Belling is an electric one though so you may need to investigate further with an electrician about a suitable supply.

Or you could replace with a double built under oven in all electric which would give you more choice, again a power upgrade would be required.

As for the hob there is a wide choice of 5 plate gas hobs out there so choice should not be a problem.

    HTH 😀
