Having read most of the blogs on this subject it seems clear that there appears to be no definitive answer.

That does seem to be the case by looks of it.

I guess if it works in your locale then you have got a good one. Trouble is you are not going to know until you have made the purchase.

The BEKO TZDA627FW you mention has a single compressor like all other upright freezers of that range, the fast freeze option is available on most upright freezers nowadays as well.

I don`t know where Curry`s got that info from, could it be the salesman telling you what you wanted to hear in order to get a sale ❓ I hope not.

Re: Built in gas hob with glass lid

    Hi

Gas hobs with lids have not been around for some time now. If mum lives in a flat then she will need to replace the existing hob with one one which has a flame safety device fitted, which ensures that if the flame is extinguished accidentally the device kicks in to stop the escape of gas. Even is she is not in a flat a hob with a fsd is a good idea anyway.

Gas built in ovens are limited to Belling, New World and Stoves. Low volume sales ensures high prices I`m afraid.

    Hi

Hotpoint labour charge is £109 plus the VAT IIRC, if you do decide on replacing it then get something decent like a Bosch or Zanussi.

    Hi

I like Neff products have done for a long time now. You get good value for money in terms of features and build quality not to mention the two year warranty.

There are many companies out there offering extended guarantees, internet sellers, your local bank may offer one. Multiple appliance contracts for a set monthly fee are becoming popular. A lot or retailers like ourselves sell Domestic and General policies who are probably one of the largest. Or you could even take out the Neff kitchen plan which is also covered by Domestic and General. A good read here will give you a good insight into the world of extending guarantees.

    Hi

Between these two really, Bosch SGI45E12 and the Neff S44E45 A few differences in spec and price. Guarantees are the same two years.

    Hi Paul

I`d probably look at the Electrolux group of companies ( Electrlolux, AEG and Zanussi), Whirlpool or Gorenje.

Re: Integrated kitchen fit out Pt IV – Double Oven

    Hi Paul

Very little to choose between the two and only two more functions on the Neff, Quick heat option and low temp cooking are not on the Bosch. Either machine I would be more than happy to own.

Very little Bosch, Neff or indeed Siemens is actually made in Germany these days, if it were the prices would be much higher due to wages etc etc. Instead products are made elsewhere around Europe in Bosch owned factories. Trouble is when you check the model no. label, country of origin is normally stated as just EU.

I know they produce in Poland, Spain, Italy and one of the old Yugoslavic states just can`t remember which now. There are others, just can`t recall them all at the mo.

    Hi Paul

Larder fridges are always cheaper than ice box ones, again it`s a volume thing.

Yes they are all the same in essence. Some will last longer than others depending on how much you are prepared to spend.

Irrespective of which brand you buy give it as much ventilation as possible.
