Re: Developer specified an AEG ESL63010

    Hi

As iadom says the Aeg is a Zanussi in disguise , for that sort of budget there are some excellent machines out there which I for one would prefer.

The manufacturers to take a look at IMO are Neff, Siemens ( the same stable) and Miele.

These two machines from Neff sit at the top of the range and offer features to cover all aspects and situations S52M69X1 and the S51T69X1 they come with a two year warranty and a good service backup.

The Siemens SN26T252 is tne next stage on from the Neff and will come with a ful five year warranty.

Then there is the Miele G1173vi and the G1182scvi with the cutlery tray in the roof of the machine which frees up the bottom basket space, these will come with a two year warranty.

If I were buying I would go with the Siemens first then the Neff and the Miele last.

This ikea oven is rated at 0.79 KW. Do you really think 45amp is necessary?

    thanks

    Andy

0.79 KWH is the energy efficiency of one of the ovens per hour.

As it`s a double oven it will probably be around 5.5 KW total, French voltage is nearer 220 IIRC this would then equate to 25 Amps. So your 32A circuit is fine for the oven.

Thanks for the contact number, where did you find it? I will speak to Whirlpool as I would like to know more especially about the programming functions of the top and bottom oven.

The Whirlpool UK service number gives one of the options for Ikea products.

I am in France and “conventional” double ovens as we know them in the UK do not really exist. This is the only model I found available here that is less than €1600 euros!! @ €695 vs £499 in UK is a bit expensive I know I could buy in the UK and import but the warranty/guarantee implications and spare parts availability are IMHO worth paying for.

Aha as it is a mainland European appliance they may not be able to help. In that case try French no. 0892 700 150. I got that one from Whirlpool France website 😆

Re: Ikea Framtid Oven DOV8. Whirlpool??

    Hi Andy14

The Framtid DV08 is a standard built in double oven, Width: 59.4 cm
Depth: 54.8 cm Height: 88.8 cm which will fit into a standard column carcass of your choice, usually these are connected via the 45A cooker point if available. An electrician will be able to advise accordingly or the fitters may have the relevant qualification to be able to advise and fit.

Whirlpool have a dedicated Ikea contact number 0207 6601517 who may be able to give you further advice and specification.
