ModeratorRe: Bosch or Liebherr for refridgeration?
Hi
Brand for brand then yes the Liebherr would be my choice.
The easy access on the Bosch fridge is a nice touch but you are only getting the same capacity as the Liebherr but it is a 60cm width as opposed to the Liebherr 55cm width.
That apart both are A rated, have a good service back up and they look good as well.

ModeratorRe: Smeg DF612WE dishwasher. Any Good?
I don`t know that particular model to be fair, but as it has a five year warranty it can`t be a bad deal. It probably won`t last more than that so be prepared to replace sooner rather than later.
Smeg appliances generally look good but the build isn`t some of the best, especially when you consider the prices of them.

ModeratorRe: Which cooker to go for… help..
An oven which is well made, easy to use with well defined controls which are easy to turn. A reasonable amount of functions which will cater for most cooks. Easy to remove shelves and racks for cleaning and a clear and easy automatic timer.
Depending how serious the cook is will depend on the number of functions to go for.

Hi Mark
Neff and Siemens are from the same stable as Bosch. The Neff range gives a better value for money product with as few or many functions as you require.
Best way of doing it is go to Neff ovens compare the functions you may require from the different series then go to one for the full spec.
When we refitted our kitchen last year we invested in some Chromol 500ml stainless steel cleaner. and I must say we have had great results from it. Don`t be put off by the price either as it lasts a long time, in a year we have only used about a couple of teaspoons worth. The interiors are easily cleaned as the surfaces are nice and smooth, the shelf racks are easily removed as ar the stay clean liners should the need arise.

Plan B would be Miele. Made by Liebherr and re badged with slightly different interior cosmetics.

ModeratorRe: what do you think of this machine !
Sold quite a few of these over the last couple of years with no problems whatsoever. We installed a 1400 spin version into a 4 bed guest house well over a year ago now and the owner is very impressed with the wash quality and reliability.
Our local Hotpoint service engineer reckons they are good and reliable which is something you don`t normally associate with Merloni 😆

ModeratorRe: Integrated Washing machines – Do ISE do one?
Hi ZaphodB
Welcome to the board, no need to feel nervous we’re a friendly bunch who like to help each other out 🙂 .
ISE do not currently produce a built in washer. However if I had your choice, I would forsake the built in look and go for the ISE5. It costs less has a full five year warranty as opposed to the Gorenje`s two and will last longer.
But then being a bloke I don`t think of how it looks in the kitchen as long as it does what it`s supposed to 😉

Biggest lot of junk I have ever come across. Poor construction, no heater or mobility castors.
kwatt wrote:Cr@ppy Chinese plastic things, really not worth the trouble.
You can buy a container if you like, cost you about £40 a machine with no warranty and no support.
K.
Probably need a container load for all the spare parts your gonna need :snig:

ModeratorRe: Internet Kitchen Appliances
The web prices advertised are not that brilliant, if you came to me with that size of order I could get close very close to those Neff prices and we are a bricks and mortar retailer.
TheDufster wrote: I work for a construction company and I was approached by a company called Internet Kitchen Appliances who was interested in selling appliances to us for any housing we might be doing. I think they trade as “Trade Kitchen Appliances” and their company name is Kitchen Kitchen Limited. A search reveals that their Managing Director used to run a company called “E Appliances” which is now in liquidation. They haven’t yet filed any accounts as the company was formed about a year ago.
Sometimes it`s better to pay a slightly higher price from a reputable retailer and have peace of mind.Don

ModeratorRe: CREAM COLOURED TALL FREEZER
Hi Jon
No such item nowadays I`m afraid. Hotpoint were the last to produce a range of appliances in cream and that was a few years ago now.
Smeg produce the FAB32P7 in cream, however it is a retro fridge freezer and it isn`t cheap :rolls:
