Hiya Lexxy :waving:
Lexxy_703 wrote:i now have a dilemma! (coo-eee, Don… 😀 )
i have looked at one of the Siemens (£550) & the Bosch SGS69L18 (£420’ish), but i’m just loathe to spend that much when i ‘could’ have a Miele for a bit more!
Right then Miele it is 😉Lexxy_703 wrote:
from all your great info on here, & elsewhere, Miele really seems the way to go…

Lexxy_703 wrote:
OK, i have been told by a very helpful local independant – Miele have told him that no more of the current production are available & they are expecting stock on the latest version of this one first week in March.
Yes that`s about the long and short of it :rolls:Lexxy_703 wrote:
the updated version has CS at the end of the model no. & is a ‘Clean Steel’ finish (less fingerprints presumably?).Spot on. The surface will be more resistant to fingerprints.
Lexxy_703 wrote:
one internet guy had earlier told me about this version, but said it would cost £30 more! :rolls:
Local independant is always the best option 😉

the local guy has said he will order one, deliver, fit & remove old machine for a competitive price, don’t have to pay anything until it’s ready.8)
Lexxy_703 wrote:
A good deal you get to keep your purse shut for a while longer then 😆BUT, Miele extended warranty is only til 29th Feb, my invoice will be dated after this, would it still be eligble?? help!
In this case I would offer the retailer a deposit, as long as the paperwork is dated prior to the 29th Miele will honour the 5 year guarantee whether or not the machine has been delivered 🙂Lexxy_703 wrote:
NB – local guy JUST rang me again, he’s knocked another £15 off the price! 😆Another very nice independant then
I would go for this dealer offer open the purse and offer a deposit for the best deal.

Hi Lexxy
Have you looked at the AEG F50870 stainless steel or the Bosch`s SGS46E28GB or the SGS69L18GB which come in silver.
Or for machines with a standard five year warranty in stainless steel take a look at the Siemens SE24M851GB, SE26T852GB or indeed the SE26T590GB. If I had to do a in which order would I go for, it would be Siemens, Bosch and then AEG IMO.
It maybe a better option if you don`t want to wait 😉

Hi Lexxy
I`m sorry to say Miele are out of stock with no concrete due date I`m afraid. The only options I can suggest is take a look at this Miele link and contact any local retailers to see if anyone has one in stock. The only other option would be to re select another machine.
As far as the five year warranty is concerned as long as your reciept is dated prior to the 29th there should not be a problem if you wish to wait for the G1232.
Not having come across Kitchen Science before I did a little digging as to who they were on their site. I see they share the same address as Comet H.O. and the website layouts look the same 😯 are they one and the same ❓

Hi hovehornet
If this is a front loader you are looking for then take a look at the ISE 2 or even the ISE 5 if you can go the extra mile. Take a look here http://www.iseappliances.co.uk/

ModeratorRe: Samsung Washing Machines
The guarantee periods do vary with Samsung depending on the product category as I found here onthe Samsung website
I hope all the machines in the supply chain, with paperwork enclosed as quoting two years are in fact getting free second year service should it be required by the customer?

ModeratorRe: Toshiba ER-9640W microwave manual
Hi weejohn
Thanks for the picture
From the top IIRC
Combi button when selected gives a mix of microwave power and hot air / grill cooking, microwave power level and temp button used to select required temperatures . Ideal for reducing the cooking time and browning at the same time.
Convec button I think each option gives a different start temperature but can still be adjusted by the temp button. Hot air cooking just like an ordinary fan oven.
Grill button press to activate for grilling, if pressed twice it may change the heat level.
Temp button used to regulate the temperature when using convec alone or in combi mode as above.
Auto defrost not sure on this one but give it a press and look at the clock diaplay for any clues.
Preset button I am going to be honest I cannot remember, as for the previous one press it and look at the clock for any clues.
Someone else may know more so keep an eye on the thread for any more replies 😉 .
