Hi FionaH
All Hotpoint appliances come with a five year parts guarantee. So as long as you still have your proof of purchase all you will pay is the labour charge which is about £90 IIRC. While the labour charge is quite high it does make the overall repair more pallatable 😉 It`s also a cheaper option than replacing the appliance.

pixelchick10 wrote:Many thanks Don – just to muddy the waters still further, today I saw a Neff oven I quite liked too (either the B1442 or the B1422) — would that be similar in quality and durability to the Bosch?
The quality of build is the same and both have the two year warranty.

Or am I really better going for the Bosch? Big thnks 🙂Just depends on the cosmetic look really, ie handles and control knobs.

Hi Steven
Some Miele have a five year guarantee while others have a 10 year warranty. Just had a look at the redemption form and it clearly states in the exclusion section that “Inappropriate and / or commercial use” is not covered.
Siemens offer a five year domestic warranty on all their washing machines which reduces to 2 years for commercial use.
Three AEG machines have a five year domestic warranty which reduces to nil if my information is correct 😯 .
Apart from these I can`t think of anyone else that offers a lengthy warranty to start with let alone a commercial one. I would think you are on safe ground 😉 .Don

Hi
Bosch and Neff are part of the same group, so you the quality of product is going to be superb. It`s the same service engineers for both brands should anything go wrong and with the two year warranty they are a good all round bet.
As far as Miele built in are concerned while the quality is superb I find it hard to justify to our customers the price differential 😉
With all of that in mind and the models you have shortlisted,I would go for the Bosch HBN131251 oven, the Bosch PCD655MEU and the Neff D9610 as it gives higher circulation rate per hour and at the same noise level.

Hi
If the Hotpoint with the front vent makes life easier then go for it.
It doesn`t make any difference whether it vents from the rear or the front.

It was worth a try 😉 Try ringing Zanussi on 08705 727727 they should be able to advise.

Hi chunki
Just a thought, as this is a new purchase have you checked the user instructions for the grill operation to see if the oven door needs to be closed while grill is in use. Also known as “closed door grilling.”

Hi
Take a look at these two manufacturers they are probably about the best that I know of when it comes to quality and longevity of life.

Hi Tim
If we come across this scenario our guys will advise and supply / fit one while they are on site and charge the customer a couple of quid for the pleasure.
If we install a new machine we automatically fit them now at no extra cost. after all they only cost pence, so why not 😉

Would you be going to D.A.D in Gloucester by any chance ? If yes then I can tell you that the current special offer price from them for new product of the WA61111 is £145 plus VAT.
