Bosch and Neff have factories all across Europe, as the labour rate is cheaper it helps to keep the overall price of the appliance down. While they are made away from Germany the standards used are exactly the same.

Hi hodgey
Yep they are part of the same group. It comes down to style really, however I do have a personal liking for Neff as they offer a slightly higher spec for a lesser price. Either way they both come with two year warranty.
Edit: there is a similar thread going on here http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … 531#174531 as well.

My credit card gives me 3 years of additional warranty (starts after manufacturer’s warranty expiration date) for any electrical product I buy with the card, so in case of Bosch/Neff or Rangemaster I’ll have 5 years of peace of mind.🙁

Hi
Not bad pieces of kit, you could do worse 😉 Personally I would still go for durability over functions anyday.
Having said that if it makes for a happy household then you have to go with it.

donThis is exactly my thoughts… just need to think on how to explain this to my wife.
Take her along to your nearest stockist, let her see the quality of product and the rest as they say will be history 😉

Is Hoover definitely no-go?If I had to choose between funtions on a Hoover and durability of a Bosch / Neff, the latter would win everytime .

Kommunist wrote:4. My better half said that it must have mode with both bottom and top heaters operating in conjuction with fan. Don’t ask me why…
Bosch HBN131220B. This one looks good, I am a bit more confident about Bosch compared to the rest, but the main feature (see 4) isn’t there. In fact, there are not many cooking modes at all.
Neff B1322W1GB. Simlar set to Bosch, but looks a bit better (to my eyes, that’s it) and got even less features that Bosch.
My questions are:
1. What would you choose from the list above and why?
2. Is there anything else that answers to all 4 requirements and is still below 400 quid?TIA 🙂
I would forsake the extra cooking modes and go for a good solid fan oven like the Bosch or the Neff. Both are good looking machines which are well constructed and come with two year guarantees. They also come in under budget 😉HTH

Hi K
We have sold quite a few of the Hotpoint / Creda vented and condensers of late. So far no problems with either brand or option. I`ll keep my ears to the ground though 😉

Hi Twoten
Is this the same one? http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/index.ph … 24_614_709 if so a quick mail to spares and Dave will probably get one out to you. If it isn`t then I expect he will be able to get one anyway 😉

Hi
Hold in the start and the on/off buttons for 3 – 5 seconds, that should then clear it.

Hi
I must admit that the number of cookers which are suitable are few, but the numbers are increasing all the time.
The only info I had I posted in the rumour mill back in January in the thread Currys will no longer deliver to flats I had some info from Cannon which I posted on page 2. As you say ovens have some form of device already, however the hobs now have to be fitted with them as well. This applies to built in appliances as well.

Hi skanie
I have found a couple of machines that come in the price range you mention and are 60cm wide with double oven. Both are FSD compliant, The Indesit KD6G25 and the Cannon C60GCI known as the Carrick. Both machines come in a choice of colours. If I had to choose, I would go with the Cannon due to the build and overall quality of the machine.
As far as gas installers are concerned I don`t know of anyone in the London area, but someone else reading this might. So keep popping back regularly to check.
