Any idea what differerence, if any, there is between the two ranges, C60EKS and C60ETX.The ETX has the precision cooking options on the main oven and comes in chrome finish, the EKS comes in a painted silver finish.

I was originally looking for a model with a multi-function main oven, but can’t remember why, been without one for so long, and I come from gas 🙁 Probably something to do with pizzas! As much as I’d love an Induction hob, Ceramic with at least one halogen spot for a little more control, again, coming from gas 🙁Halogen is slightly quicker than a standard ceramic pot but also more expensive should repairs be necessary.

LadFromWales85 wrote:Hmm, arent Cannon really Indesit, and Belling really Beko these days?
Does the Cannon really feel that much better than the Belling? I’ll probably end up going to see them before buying online, but i’d like to get some information from a few boffins here first, rather than listening to some sales assistant drival!
Do the Belling cookers have a tinny sound to them these days then?
Yes Yes and Yes 😆On a slightly more serious note the Cannon build is better than the Belling by a country mile.
We trawled the shops with our daughter as we can`t hold all the cookers we would like to in the shop and she was of the same opinion as us with the quality of the Cannon.
Just as a by the way, Hotpoint and Creda are part of the same group as well but the build is different on all three, with Cannon out in front in our opinion.

I don’t think there is a trade member of this forum that would actually ‘recommend’ any £200.00 washer, most will just tell you that one is worse than the other but none of them would be recommended. How very true 😉

Even £300.00 is only just getting you into average to decent quality.Jim.
The Bosch WAE24363 with it`s two year warranty is a good machine which we recommend well worth the extra few pounds.

Hi LFW
We have recently purchased for our daughter as a house warming present the Cannon C60EKS Kendall cooker. Having looked at all the others out there including the Belling, we came down to the Cannon on several counts. The doors have a nice solid feel and when shut don`t have that awful tinny sound, the inner glass removes easily for cleaning as do the shelf racks, as for cooking results she produced a fabulos christmas lunch for eight of us with no probs.

ModeratorRe: Another joke.
A man riding his Harley was riding along a California beach, when suddenly the sky
clouded above his head and, in a booming voice, the Lord said, ‘Because you have
tried to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you one wish.’The biker pulled over and said, ‘Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can ride over anytime I want.’ The Lord said, ‘Your request is materialistic! Think of the enormous
challenges for that kind of undertaking; the supports required reaching the
bottom of the Pacific and the concrete and steel it would take! It will nearly
exhaust several natural resources. I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify
your desire for worldly things. Take a little more time and think of something that could possibly help mankind.’The biker thought about it for a long time. Finally, he said, ‘Lord, I wish
that I and all men could understand women; I want to know how she feels inside,
what she’s thinking when she gives me the silent treatment, why she cries, what
she means when she says nothing’s wrong, and how I can make a woman truly
happy.’The Lord replied, ‘You want two lanes or four on that bridge?’

Which is probably one of the reasons why none of the mainstream suppliers are producing them.

It’s also news that a hob requires an FFD as the vast majority I’ve ever seen do not have one. In fact, I’m struggling to think of one I’ve seen that has an FFD.
If true there’s a lot of ovens out there that don’t comply and a lot more hobs.

I had a leaflet from Indesit company in the post, which states that it`s a new Corgi regulation which came into force as of 1st January 08.“All gas cooking appliances for use in flats and other multi dwelling buildings cannot be installed unless they contain flame supervision devices. This includes buildings that include a number of individual dwellings for domestic purposes only together with dual-purpose properties such as flats above shops and offices. It does not include properties that are for commercial use only or detached, semi detached , terraced houses and houses with loft conversions.
It also lists all the Hotpoint , Cannon and Indesit products which has an fsd fitted. There is a couple of hobs too 😉 .

ModeratorRe: Currys will no longer deliver to flats!!!
It`s all very strange :rolls: . According to Curry`s national sales line they will deliver to flats as long as there is only two flights of stairs. “Definition of a flight of stairs ” asked I ” dunno ” they said. “It`s down to the discretion of the delivery team as to whether or not the delivery can go ahead”.
Nothing mentioned on the website under delivery options either.
