ModeratorRe: gorenje door reversal
Hi Simon
While you have some holes to be able to reverse the door there is no way you can change the door handles IIRC. Gorenje price list only states right hand hinge.

i had to take it back.
any ideas would be great. There isn`t one I`m afraid 😥 The only other ones of any note are the Zanussi SD2811 drain away or the White Knight WK28007 drain away or the 28008 pump away. None have castors only suction cups and yes I agree those clips are a total waste of space on the Creda machines :rolls:

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint, arrrgggghhhh!! What are my options??
As a retailer I can see the benefits of both sides.
On one hand if dealers did not stock the Indesit / Hotpoint / Creda ranges they would soon be struggling, as these three brands make up the core stock for most shops. Everywhere I have worked in the last 39 this has been the case.
Yes they may still be trading on past reputation but it does keep a lot of shops open and engineers employed not to mention the amount of spares that are sold around the country everyday.
Then on the other you have the ISE which I have not stocked before, but will be shortly . However I like the concept of customer ownership you sell the appliance deliver and install it, if it ever goes wrong then it will be you that repairs it.
This way you get to keep your customer while offering a service level no one can match in the industry and at the same time you have the opportunity to to look after the customer with future purchases.
That`s my tuppenth then 🙂

Can`t go far wrong with any of the Bosch or Hotpoint ranges. I am assuming you are looking for 60cm wide ❓
Bosch inners tend to be a little basic when it comes down to fittings but has a two year warranty. The Hotpoints are over furnished IMO with storage and only have the usual one year warranty. have a look at both in the shops to see what I mean 😉

Hi
About as near as I can get is this Gorenje RB6286OC in cream cheaper than the Smeg and comes with a full five year warranty. Only downside it does have a small freezer compartment, handy for that all important ice 😉 . Lec also produce one which is very similar but the colour is stated as “classic ivory” you may need to see the colour first Lec RSR6037 only comes with a one year guarantee though.

Trouble is Steph the service is patchy to say the least, Whereas the AEG service is one of the best in the industry.

There was some front page news a little while ago I don`t know if Admin are able to ressurrect it or not ❓ quite interesting reading IIRC.

Hi Steph
A combo of both with Fagor on service. It`s a no contest as far as I am concerned AEG everytime. The build quality is far superior as is the nationwide service .

ModeratorRe: CDA Appliances, Any Good?
Hi
Go for Neff when looking at integrated appliances, they are part of the same stable as Bosch. However you do get a slightly higher spec machine for slighty less pennies 😉 .

They say 230degC, but we do not have the “if you have a fan oven, refer to manufacturer’s recommendations” as we are renting this house (yet another move) so we don’t know what we should be cooking them at… they still take the 20 minutes that they claim to take so either the oven isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, or the temperature gauge isn’t as accurate as it seems.Hi
The boss says “200 degC in a fan oven for twenty mins “

Hi Shaun
The only decent single gas oven I am aware of is the Electrolux EOG10000X single oven in stainless steel. Otherwise it`s back to good old leccy ones. depending on budget I would go down the Bosch / Neff route. Take a read here as well http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … age&pid=83 .

Hi Louis
Have you tried either of these on the dealer locator http://www.maytag.co.uk/locator.aspx or failing that then possibly a trip to John Lewis may be on the cards http://www.johnlewis.com/Shops/DShome.aspx if theres one near you 😉
