My 2 concerns with the Bosch were
1) the reputed poor drying you get with the Bosch technique of relying on natural drying, and
Never had a problem with our Bosch on the drying mode at all, very efficient.UK_dave wrote:
2) compared to some of the full sized machines, this slimline Bosch’s 49db is pretty noisy! The Full sized AEG I was going to buy (before I discovered I didn’t have the space in my new place!) was just 41db.
49db is by today`s standard very quiet. The only noise we ever hear is the occasional “whoosh” of water when it`s on the wash part of the cycle.UK_dave wrote:
I have a lounge-diner, so a quiet dishwasher would be great. But if you think these concerns are just an inevitable consequence of having to get a slimline rather than full size, then I’ll go for the Bosch anyway 🙂
Cheers!
The AEG slimline is 49db as well. Go for the Bosch it comes with the two year warranty as well 😉

Hi Dave
This model is the latest model from Bosch. Looking at the spec on the Bosch website it`s a cracking machine good spec, efficency, functions and knowing how good Bosch are, I don`t think you will find a better appliance TBH.

I had been looking at the Miele after looking at some of the other posts on the forums but the prices are significant and it only seems to have a 1 year warranty!
DaveUp until the 31st August the WT2670 comes with a five year warranty by redemption.

As I think you reside in Italy? The model numbers you quote are not necessarily compatible to those sold on the UK market? So comparison is difficult as a result. 😕
That was my first impression as well Martin. But they are in fact UK models 😕 .

Hi Andrea
The AEG will give many years of good service and it`s well made. If you can go the extra mile on price then the Miele will give an even longer life span, whilst giving exceptional results. Either way both are good machines with ready available service should the need arise.

ModeratorRe: b /q
Had a look at one in our loca b/q yesterday, a whole stack of them and not one unpacked. looking through the shrink wrap, I thought the control panel looked liked the Whirlpools of about five six years ago as did the programme graphics.

had a look at the LEC site for a medical ward fridge, this may be OK but pricey. That`s going to be about the only choice TBH, as Clive says “sizes go tabletop to under counter”

I now find out that it belongs to Elextrolux, a name I at least recognize.
CheersNot as far as I am aware, unless I have missed some industry shattering news 😉 There is no mention of it on either website. How did you find this info out ❓

Hi
I have gone through the A-Z of mainstream manufacturers and all I can come up with is the Lec T5066W but it is 8cm taller. If this would fit it would IMO be the best of the three, failing that then the next best would be the Fridgemaster.HTH

Still hunting for a new cooker though, but given that I am thinking of re-modelling the kitchen, I may opt for some built in, even though I hate the idea. (much prefer freestanding)WQ
We have just had installed some Bosch and Neff products into our new kitchen, management is very impressed with the quality and performance 😀

ModeratorRe: Built under height problem
Hi
There are two types of built in ovens. On one hand you have a “built in” oven which are on average 880mm high which are designed to go in at waist height and up. Then you have the “built under” variety which are around 710mm high.
If you try to install one of the built in ones under the worktop not only will the bottom oven door snag the floor but you will have to get on your knees to remove any dish you have placed in it.
If you want extra oven capacity and you cannot have a built in then a combination microwave oven could be an extra addition.
