Try DAD at Gloucester 01452 504084 or sales@dad-online.co.uk. Only other way is to go direct as far as price is concerned.

Just “sell” the ethos of buying through an independant retailer.

The WFR3269 is now discontinued with no stock left at Bosch. The WAS32466GB is the replacement model which is available as I write. It is a problem at this time of year for the manufacturers to keep their websites up to date as the model changes take effect and stock becomes available.

    Hi John

You could try Kitchen Economy in Cardiff they have recon cookers. They can be reached on 029 2049 4299 and ask for Shiela.

To give you an idea how noisy 53db is. Human converstional speech is about 70db. Which makes that machine very quiet.

    Hi

Either the electrical contractors you mention or a kitchen fitter / installer. Whichever you choose, just make them aware that the aperture needs to be enlarged so they know to bring a jig saw with them.

    Re: Quiet washing machine

From experience Miele and Bosch are amongst the quietest there is. Neither quote decibel figures but quote quiet, very quiet etc. Apart from that it much depends on how the machine is installed ie a solid floor is much much better than a suspended floor. Have a read of this article on the Which online site and scroll down to “My machine is noisy, is there anything I can do about it?” for a bit more info on noise levels.

The only good thing about it Bryan is, that model is now discontinued and no more is stock available at Bosch. We had our last load last week. I guess Empire have a few to shift hence the “offer”. Anyway the WAE24162 is a much better appliance 😉

Re: Miele Paramount – any good?

Miele dishwashers are as good as the washing machines. The Paramount is an exclusive model to John Lewis at £599 . I would rather have the genuine article though, the G1220SC which retails at £569 which J.Lewis says is “similar”. However looking at the spec I can see no difference apart from the sloping control panel 😕 .

    Re: Neff, Bosch or Smeg?

I would go for the Neff range although the same group as Bosch Neff are better value and made to a slightly higher spec. just a case as to whether you prefer stainless steel frame or frameless and touch control or removable point ant twist magnetic control knob. They have a two year guarantee too. Details here http://www.neff.co.uk/hobs.html
