Re: What to buy and what to avoid

    Hi

Steer clear of the Korean brands like Daewoo, Samsung and LG. Granted while they seem to offer good value, the problems arise when they go wrong. Take a look in the refrigeration forum to see other experiences.

If budget allows look at Maytag, Whirlpool and Admiral.

    Re: Another joke.

A wife was making a breakfast of fried eggs for her husband. Suddenly,
her husband burst into the kitchen. “Careful,” he said, “CAREFUL! Put in some more butter! Oh my GOD! You’re cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW! We need more butter. Oh my GOD! WHERE are we going to get MORE BUTTER? They’re going to STICK! Careful . CAREFUL! I said be CAREFUL! You NEVER listen to me when you’re cooking! Never! Turn them! Hurry up! Are you CRAZY? Have you LOST your mind? Don’t forget to salt them. You know you always forget to salt them. Use the salt. USE THE SALT! THE SALT!” The wife stared at him. “What in the world is wrong with you? You think I don’t know how to fry a couple of eggs?”

The husband calmly replied, “I just wanted to show you what it feels like
    when I’m driving.”

The only other differences I can find is the 13M560 has retractable controls ( which gives a nice clean flush look), extra wide viewing window to both ovens. A visit to Bosch appliances might reveal a little more.

    Re: http://www.tradeplace.com

I have been using it for about a year now for BSH group to order appliances on, but I can also access the service side as well for spares and diagrams. Works well, very rarely has downtime, any maintenance seems to be done over the weekends after 4.00pm.

I must admit I was a bit confused by the different offers from Indesit. Cheeky rascals have changed the 01733 code for an 08709 number I see. Another reason to use http://www.saynoto0870.com/ 😉

I used to sell the Stoves range about the time the 900g was around and I must admit the quality at that time was second to none, however the build of the newer ranges are nowhere near the same IMO. We have two Bosch machines at home with no complaint at all, I like the build, the simplicity of use, uncluttered control panels and of course the two year guarantee.

ps I also sell lots of them too 😉

    Hi dbd

The best guarantee in the price range would be the Bosh with two years.

Miele have the best by far a full ten year on the top range price £800, down to the mid range £650 circa for five years and the base range with a price tag of £525 comes with three years.

Myself at home I have Bosch 😉

There are very few large capacity frost free freezers out there I`m afraid, especially with clear baskets. Personally I would look at Hotpoint or Bosch, granted the cost is higher but you will get a product that will last longer than the Beko and be of a better quality.

    Re: Polystyrene

Good one GB but I don`t think there will be many takers though :rolls:

It is becoming more and more of a problem as suppliers move away from cardboard boxes in favour of polystyrene and poly wrap. The only other option would be to leave it with the customer, for them to dispose of as technically it is theirs after all. Then you would only have the problem of stock item packaging to dispose of 😕

A call to Hotpoint on 08709 077077 should do the trick. However they do charge for a paper copy 😉
