Have to wait and see if ERT hold a show next year. IIRC visitors to the show were able to book online in December.

As for suppliers we use http://www.dad-online.co.uk and http://www.portwayonline.co.uk/ for white goods. Brown goods we use either http://www.bdc-independants.co.uk or Harris and Russell on 020 7549 8399.

I was gonna read the minutes from the September meet but cannot find them in the download section. I did report a broken link a couple of weeks ago, dunno if this has any bearing or not 😉

Our village cricket club like all others in the UK, have had to go down the route of CRB checks. Anyone who has regular contact with youngsters whether it be coaching, ground staff, captains or any other person has had a CRB check done. Luckily the English cricket board have funded the checks otherwise I would suspect it would have fallen to the members to have paid it. I can just hear the members now, what you want us to pay for our own check to allow us give our free time for something we enjoy doing on a voluntary basis. yeah right.

Re: New World Built in + Hob Stainless Steel ?

    Hi Graham

New World products are part of the Belling group of companies, the build in general is good as is the service back up.

The main issue with the stainless steel finish is it does does show finger marks easily. The best way to keep it looking good is a liberal coating of Johnsons baby oil applied with cotton wool on a monthly basis. Apart from that go for it 😉

Or http://www.portwayonline.co.uk/ for the brands you cannot source at DAD. Both offer nationwide deliveries.

one of these then :bang: 😆

Eureka cracked it , the best option I can find is this little beauty. Whirlpool AFB820/3 it stands 87.3 high 54.0 wide and 54.5cm deep http://www.whirlpool.co.uk/app.cnt/whr/ … subcatid/9. As you can see it is designed to fit into a housing at waist level so a little mod maybe required to allow air flow underneath and to allow the door to open. Don`t forget about the handle issue also.

I have found a thing called a “smeg VR120B”, which 365electrical say has dimensions

    plenty enough IMO. That’s a built-under,

Sorry to say but it`s 54.5 on the depth. Hit on the technical drawing link here http://www.smeguk.com/CucinaSelection/P … eq=3518729

You may have to consider another location or have a work top model like the Lec U5006W which has sizes of H53cm W50cm and depth of 51cm.

Have a Bendix 71968 super compact washer in at the mo again with it`s sales sticker on with the slogan “Bendix quiet reliability”. Shame the manufacturers stopped them. Used to call them “silent salesmen” in the old days.

    Re: Standard sizes and variations?

    Hi

If this is under the worktop size you are looking for then Lec produce a small one the U5026W which is a mere 56cm deep but it`s only a nrrow 48cm wide so limited storage. All the others seem to range between 59 and 60cm. As for built under the depths are mainly 54.5cm, if using without the fitted door you will probably need to fit a handle, as the handle would be on the timber door under normal circumstances.

Take a look at the Whirlpool AWOD4505 1200 spin, good solid design with a nationwide service back up. Or if you can stretch to it then the Bosch WAE24162GB again 1200 spin with a two year guarantee. Hope you get sorted.

My sentiments exactly Martin. Since they bought out that range in the summer our sales have gone down dramatically on Miele, shame really as I still rate them as the best brand around. I wonder how Miele see the new range now :rolls:
