Your` wife did say she wanted a machine with a larger load capacity.
It`s a superb machine I looked at one at the weekend and I was impressed with what I saw  .
Hope it works well for you.

Hi
Keep an eye out for a Whirlpool American style top loader. These will take an 18lb load ideal for horse blankets and rugs. However as they do not have a heater element you will need to have a good supply of hot water on tap. Also because of the large volume of water they use, circa 100 litres you will need to have a waste outlet of almost 2 inches in diameter.
You can see the new ones here for an idea of what they look like.Don

I would rather have the Samsung  than the LG in that price range

Hi Sundie
I would go along with the washing machine , dishwasher and tumble dryer. They should all give good performance and a good life span. The fridge freezer by LG is okay in it`s price range, but there are better machines by far out there 😉 if budget allows.

ModeratorRe: AEG Washing Machine L76669
Hi
Yes the L76669 is now discontinued and has been for some time, what I suspect is that someone has bought up all stock available to sell as a good deal.
As far as AEG is concerned they are now owned and badged by the Electrolux group. Model numbers change at least once a year but the spares will be available for the useful life of the machine.
IMO Bosch is a better brand, built to a good standard and giving a full two year guarantee. Your`e local dealer will be able to offer you good advice and after sales service.

Hi Friggy
Glad everything turned out okay for you 😀 .
It just goes to show that the local dealers can compete with the big boys by giving a better overall service
Ideal fridge temperature + 4 to +6 degrees C and freezer -18 to -22 degrees C.
Hope this helps.

ModeratorRe: Recommend a Fridge Freezer
Hi Jason
The Samsung range is becoming increasingly popular probably due to the fact it is only 60cm deep. However if it is brands you are looking at then I would consider the Whirlpool range for quality and choice of colours available or the Maytag and indeed the Smeg range, all these are quality machines built to a good standard and have a good back up after sales service. Only trouble is these do not produce a 60cm deep machine. Try your`e local independant retailer for the best advice and service.
You can see the products here at

Any suggestions, preferrably something that can handle more clothes with a greater energy efficiency.
TIA – Rufus.
Hi Rufus
One other alternative would be to have a slim depth washing machine like a Bosch WFC2467GB which is only 40cm deep but has a surprisingly large 4.5kg load and 1200 spin. You can see it here http://tinyurl.com/7qbll Then tumble dryer could go where washer is at present.
Just a case of which way to go really 🙄

ModeratorRe: Which Fridge Freezer?
Hi
I`d probably look at Hotpoint after Bosch as they seem to produce a better interior and they have quite a range of machines available. Just an opinion of course 😉
Hope this helps

ModeratorRe: Which Fridge Freezer?
Bosch are about the best there is they do several models depending on the split of fridge to freezer you require. A good all all round unit would be the KGU31125GB also available in silver, comes with a two year guarantee subject to you registering appliance with Bosch. You can view it here http://boschappliances.co.uk A visit to your`e local independant retailer should do the trick who will be able to offer a high level of service and aftercare.

Hi
Sorry to hear about your`e delivery problems. A trip to your`e local independant retailer is a much better option. You will recieve better advice on a product which is right for you, a delivery time which is more convenient and a far superior after sales back up service than any of the supermarkets can offer. You will pay a little more for this level of service and attention, but what price can you put on peace of mind. I say leave the supermarkets to what they do best : food. 😉

ModeratorRe: Need an Int’ F/F with telescopic shelves
Hi Seamy.
I have checked all the usual manufacturers and nobody appears to do a fridge freezer. however if the kitchen can be adapted then Bosch produce a under counter freezer with good pull out baskets and they also produce this fridge too which is the onlt one I can find with easy access pull out drawers http://tinyurl.co.uk/c00h . the only downside is you cannot fix the doors onto it.Don
