Re: Hotpoint washer/dryer keeps coming up with test on.

The 3113R is a number allocated by Hotpoint for graded appliances, which is on a label on the inside of the door. However the usual model number can be found on the fascia.

I hope to get it half price. One sure minus is that it will come with one year warranty only.
I understand that this has just been discontinued.
    Thanks

As long as it is boxed and unused then yes it would be a good deal. At half price or so I would forsake the extra year guarantee.

Re: Indesit WD12 – smelt burning plastic when tumble drying!

    Hi

I still feel that they provide a good all round package ie the quality of product, build factor, two year guarantee and service availability. Go on spoil yourself 🙂 go for the Bosch.

Obviously I’ll go and have a look at the A grade to make sure it looks ok before we commit (which being an A grade it should).

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Benga

If you are happy with the grading and the price is similar to the Bosch then yes it should be a good investment, personally I still like Bosch 😉

    Re: DART??

They used to fax they`re specials lists to us every week. The print was so small and the list was never clear as to whether product was new or graded. Have not ordered anything from them so don`t know what they are like. Havn`t had a list recently either. If I remember rightly new appliance prices were slightly more than our normal supplier D.A.D.

    Hi

No nothing at all in that price range Bosch are probably the best. If you want to go higher in price for a product that will last and last then the Miele KFN8862SD which also comes with a two year guarantee.

    Hi

Hotpoint has better door storage, but all things considered I would go with the KGU31125GB, comes with two year guarantee subject to registration and good service back up too.

    Hi

    IMO Don`t go there 😉

Instead take a look at the Lofra range of cookers http://www.lofra.co.uk they are an Italian brand who command a thirty plus {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} market share in their own country. I had a good look at these at the trade show recently and we were surprised at how good they looked, the build is extremely good with sturdy legs, door nice and heavy with strong hinges, nice large knobs with easy turn on the flame control and especially liked the curved door range. We recently sold a 60cm one and I was impressed in how it was packed. Timber struts in a strong cardboard carton and on its own pallet as well. Price is competitive as well with other brands.

70cm model MXC76GGI/CV curved door model.
    70cm model MX76GGI/C straight door.

They also produce 80and 90cm ranges.

    hope this helps.

    Re: which chest freezer?

Whirlpool AFG522 7.6 cu ft freezer is probably the best in its price range. But if you want a better build and thicker insulation with increased energy efficency then the Bosch GTA20901 7.0 cu ft is the one, which comes with a two year guarantee, however it does come at a price 😉
