ModeratorRe: Hob – Induction, halogen or just ceramic?
Hi
Induction hobs are at the premium end of the range due to the way they operate ie by magnetism instead of elements. However they are quicker than ceramic , more energy efficient and more controllable. Heat is only created when pan is placed on the hob and stops when removed. All this tech does come at a price though.
Standard ceramic hobs with touch control are becoming more popular as they are easier to keep clean and look pleasing to the eye. Ceramic hobs with halogen heatzones usually come with one or two halogen elements which offer slightly quicker heat up about 1.5 secs than the standard ceramic elements , but are more expensive to repair.
There are lots to choose from, stick to Bosch, Neff, Siemens, Zanussi or Belling. You will get a good product and back up should it be required.

It’s always very hard to give advice on what to buy (unless you’re Don)
CraigThanks Craig  😆
I see from the model number that the item in question is a double built under oven of which there are not as many choices as there are built in.
Take a look at the Bosch / Neff range they are a quality appliance with a two year guarantee. They are more expensive but are well worth the extra. let us know the outcome as we always like a happy ending 😀 .Don

ModeratorRe: Flatley Airer
One of our regular customers was just saying she still uses her Flatley airer several times a week and it still looks like new. She bought it when her youngest child had just been born. She is now 42 years old 😯 .

I havn`t been able to find it in any user manual, I found the answer the hard way when a customer phoned to say “test” was displayed on a new machine we had supplied. A quick call to Hotpoint service revealed the answer so one happy customer.

Hi Ray
Hold in start / cancel until all lights come on. Then press start / cancel and on / off together this should then take machine out of “test”.

ModeratorRe: Balay Good Show
When we were talking to the rep about these at the AMDEA show recently we were told that they ” come with the standard guarantee of two years subject to registration and the service would be carried out by BSH”
Is this still going to be the case?Don

ModeratorRe: Small Dishwasher??
Hi Gem
As far as I am aware 50cm deep will only get you a compact model. If this is all you can get in then it`s better than nothing. Bosch and Zanussi both produce good quality machines.
Hope this helps.Don

ModeratorRe: Swan Spares
Hi
Just found a piccy of them here http://www.dealtime.co.uk/xPP-Refrigerators–swan and it looks very much like Zanussi made. Is there a service contact number in the customer user manual by any chance Swan as a brand no longer exists but people like Littlewoods may have bought the name 😉 .

ModeratorRe: AEG F44070VI
Hi
This model has now been superceeded by the F35080VI. Still has five electronic programmes with A energy rating a good all round purchase. One other to consider would be the Bosch SHV55MO3GB again A rated slightly better programme options, with IMO a better build quality and comes with two years parts and labour guarantee as well. Hope this helps.
