ParticipantRe: Bosch Dishwasher Recall
Lets not forget that the Bosch dishwashers ceased production in 2005, i think the burning of the pcb contacts was in part caused when we went from 240volts to 230 volts increasing the amperage of he appliance, The beko appliances were still in production when they had problems, its a little bit different wouldnt you say, best study all the facts.

Different factories, different qualities . Did you know that the manufacturer that makes Stoves, Belling and NewWorld is also a element/ heater manufacturer?

http://www.kitchenkitsw.comI don’t want to appear rude Dr Dill but what’s that got to do with the price of fish ?Stoves still use the same elements as they did when Dimplex didn’t own them, dimplex generally have stuff made for them rather than make them themselves, buying an actual manufacturer like they did with stoves is the exception rather than the rule, for example with Belling they only used the name and stuck it on products made for them elsewhere untill the bought stoves and decided to have them built in house.
Wrong wrong wrong! Need to check your facts before spouting nonsense.

Correct, manufacturers do not have to offer any warranty at all.

ParticipantRe: Appliance Fires
The manufacturers probably think telling independents of problems like the current ones is worse than not saying anything, you assume that all independents have the basic test and safety equipment, which if you look through this forum is not the case at all, until this profession has some sort of registration system for engineers then we will not be recognised. It doesn’t however excuse them from not informing DASA of the WTA. That says it all about what most manufacturers think of imdependants!

Tut tut tut, you should never open the door to let the steam out, that is part of the drying effect, besides the fact the steam could delaminate the worktop, or damage the worktop if it isnt a laminate

Thinking a little more about it, the uk government should get involved, that way any one on benefits can have a top of the range washer paid for by he rest of us mugs working and paying tax, it could be called The Hygiene Relief Payment.

The biggest problem with leasing/renting is non payment! The laundry works because you have to put money in at the time of use,.
