We never did the repaircare calls that they charged up front for, I didn’t want it as its my name on the van outside the house, not theirs.

The last Neff one I did was spewing water out everywhere, customer was prepared to buy a new one,£1100, I said let’s have a look first, customer said he had had an engineer look at and they condemed it. I said let me have a look, if I can’t fix it then I wouldn’t charge him, well I took it in to workshop and after removing a thousand screws and plastic it turned out to be a small reinforced pipe, £6 for new one and job done, I kept it in the workshop for a week for testing and I had fresh ground coffee every 20 minutes! Was sad to see it go back!

We been fixing a few Neff ones recently, my favorite part is testing them with fresh coffe beans! Good earners but can be a pain stripping down. Training? Just get in there and you will soon learn!

And that is what i meant

Sorry Squadman, i dont get it, you seem to distance yourself from this repair and the company that you work for,if you worked for me i would be a little unhappy at the way you have come over on this forum, these engineers are your collegues and need advising/retraining do they not?

    Red Stains on Clothing ?

Sorry, but if the engineers who did this job work for you and your company, then you are responsible, the engineer cut corners and now you are reaping that benifit!

    CURRYS KNOW HOW

I think that reaffirms what DSGi think of us independants, same as most WP’s.

    Need advice please

Ask the tenant to deduct it out the next months rent, or you remove the dishwasher

    DIY Electrics.

one christmas eve I called to a customer, matsui dishwasher for currys, needed new pcb. Pulled it out and couldn’t find the plug, asked customer and he started being an arse and said he didn’t know, said he would switch the mains off, not happy I pulled the cooker out to find he had wired the dishwasher to the cooker terminals and the cooker cable was in 3 core flex as well! I told him how bad this was and he kicked off calling me all manner of stuff, whilst he was having his pre christmas tantrum I was packing my tools away after disconnecting his dishwasher and cooker, I informed him to seek the services of an electrician as I was leaving. He asked if I was happy that I had ruined his familys christmas, I replied that I was happy that his family would be around for at least one more.

You need to see the complete load that the customer put in, even if you left bleach in, it dosnt turn anything red,
