I think its time to actually name names and give us the facts, then we can all make our own conclusions and quickly bring this slanging match to an end. Dont worry if my name comes up, i dont care as i have nothing to hide at all.

Which WTA member did he rant about? So i can assume as usual i will get the flak about this as i was the one that complained so strogly about FME in the WTA thread. My only problem is that if the WTA didnt want to promote FME why wasnt it removed earlier than it was? I would not have gone on about it for so long then, bit confused there.

Interesting, but i am more interested in the fact that the WTA costitution was changed, is this allowed? I think this needs to be explained and more importantly why was it changed and under whos instruction.

I would ask him, but i will make a guess that he might not want to answer a call from me!

Why would he ask to be removed? I dont understand this at all, as i would like to know also if the WTA is able to offer assistance.

It seems my leaving the network was just in time! Mind you i do all of these points anyway, thats why our vehicle is a 7.5 ton lorry, just to hold all the kit and customer cleaning kits, i wonder how many of Comets engineers did this?

    Re: repaircare CDSL Dumping Agents

No, finished last job then sytem locked me out, cant see how much they owe me or anything, then David Parker couldnt even ring me, he got Tina in the office to give me the news.
I am not that bothred anyway as i reduced my area for them massively, from 2004 i was doing the whole of cornwall, then due to costs and lower rates i reduced it to truro and surrounding area. I think you are right about super agents as The Repair Guys (aka appliance care exeter) have been after the whole area for a couple of years.

It was almost certainly my mouth in the forum that made them do it, but it wont have any impact as i had allready reduced the amount of work i did for them, it just shows a complete lack of loyalty from them though, in 2004 i was threatened with court action by nesn when coverplan moved to repaircare and i went with them, i still did work for NESN ongoing too.

    Never mind.

    Re: repaircare CDSL Dumping Agents

We have been dumped too, but no great loss as we were not doing much in the end for them, but no loyalty, we did 10,000 odd jobs for them, started in august 2004 after supporting them after they bombed NESN out, in the last 18 months we only did about 20 jobs a week on average because we dropped lots of calls for low rates.

    Re: DSG/RepairCare Rate Cuts

They will be splitting the deliveries and repairs so the engineers wont be driving 7.5 ton lorries, the lorrie drivers will be installing the appliances they deliver and when they f##k it up the engineers will visit and be unable to fix and book an uplift. 2 years down the line Currys will close the operation after they have lost several million pounds, a new chief exec will be hired and more millions wasted. Its predictable.

And to add, our engineers frequently go to product training on new appliances, i really think it makes the job more interesting and varried.

    Re: DSG/RepairCare Rate Cuts

Our engineers in their normal day will do repairs and deliver new appliances, and where required install the built in appliance, so delivery/installation/repairs all normal days work for a suitably trained and able engineer, in fact they love fitting say a top of the range Neff oven thats replacing a 2 year old knackard Beko oven, nice job and better profit.
Sadly the next job is probably a Kenwood dishwasher!

wsts wrote:So are Currys using their own engineers or are they looking to sub the work out ?

I think you need to read through this topic!
In a nutshell they currently sub their work out through repaircare etc, they are now setting up their own network of directly employed engineers and using repaircare as 2nd tier in areas of no cover.
