Re: Evaporator module removal Liebherr freezer

ok, this is one of the more difficult sensor replacements.
underneath the front edge of the evaporator at either side are small plastic plugs. remove the pins in the middle of the plugs and pull out the plugs.
this will allow lugs at either side of the evaporator to be pushed inwards, in turn allowing the evaporator to be pulled down and towards you.
you’ll probably need to access the rear of the freezer, loosening the condenser grill (be careful with it) and take off the evaporator drain pipe, allowing the evaporator to move towards you.
take off the top polystyrene cover of the evap and you should see the sensor cable with the sensor locating at the front of the evap.
it is a bit fiddly and to be honest, beyond the capabilities of most diy ers.
    good luck with it.

hello, why are you replacing the evaporator sensor?

do you have the service number?
    cheers.

Re: Replaced evaporator sensor but still icing up

ok, the only way you’d get that happening is either a temperature fault, but then you’d surely notice other things in the fridge freezing too, or some sort of physical fault with the evaporator or insulation.
there’s no way that the contents of your evaporator tray should ice up.
what part number was the evap sensor?

Re: Replaced evaporator sensor but still icing up

hello, iced up drain hole on a liebherr appliance is rare as the drain pipe is external, therefore not at risk of coming into contact with internal pipework and freezing.
is it just blocked or definitely frozen?
are you sure you replaced the correct sensor? the evaporator one is the one that sits flush with the back wall of the fridge.
if you replaced the air sensor then the problem will obviously still be evident.
the main cause of iced up drain hole would be a temperature problem. has anything else in the fridge frozen? dairy produce, salads etc.

hello, if you’ve tried the engineer search with no success, then i would suggest that you contact coolectric on
    08444 122 655.
they’ll put you in touch with an engineer in your area, experienced with the brand.
experience with the brand is a must with every premium brand appliance, not just liebherr.
too many brands there i think!

    cheers.

Re: Liebherr 7802 freezer – issue with temp sensor?

the wine cooler and the freezer work from seperate systems, ie seperate compressors.
to have system faults on both at the same time would be unheard of.
it’s possible that you have a board fault or maybe even a wiring fault. strange question but, do you have mice?
your username would suggest that you’re in a rural location. (please don’t hazard a guess at what mine might suggest!)
i’ve seen a lot of instances where mice have chewed through wiring at the back of the appliance. maybe worth a look.
if there’s nothing obvious, then it looks like engineer time.
where in the country are you?
have you tried the engineer search facility on site yet?

    cheers.

hello, i think you have your details mixed up.
SKES4200 is a fridge, probably the unit that is attached to your freezer/wine cooler.
look in the freezer on the left hand side, bottom shelf for details.
it’s probably a SWNES2900. the service number is important on liebherr fridges, can you supply that?

    cheers.

really? we don’t work on these, i just like the look of them.
    are they troublesome then?

i can get the black one with the handles on ebay for about 579.

you rate the bosch d/w? any particular model?

    Re: FISHER PAYKEL DISHDRAWER

    thanks for your help.
that’s a bit too steep for me, i’m trying to get one in the trade and also in view of the logistical issue, it’s not viable.

    cheers.

    Re: FISHER PAYKEL DISHDRAWER

    thanks for that.
not sure i like the ones with the handles, so it would have to be the DD60DCHX7 model.
    do you stock them?

    cheers.
