Hi Kieran, it sounds like a pcb fault tbh.
If it was the sensor at fault, then the 3c indicator led would flash, along with the super cool led.
With you saying that the internal light is flashing, the problem will be the pcb.Cheers.

ParticipantRe: Liebherr Fridge/Freezer
9590142 will do it. Liebherr have changed the connection method and the 206 is the latest one but the 142 is fine.
In fact we prefer it over the new one.ELDAR59
ParticipantRe: Liebherr fridge thermostat replacement
The evaporator is the metal plate that is secured against the back wall by the plastic fixings.
You cant miss it.
The thermostat sits in a clip at the bottom of this.
Give the fixings a quarter of a turn to release it from the back wall and feel underneath.
It really sounds like you need an engineer out. One who knows what he’s doing.ELDAR59
ParticipantRe: Liebherr Fridge/Freezer
Hello, if the fridge is over icing and generally too cold, then the problem is likely to be the fridge evaporator sensor, which is located under the little plastic cover that sits on the back wall of the fridge.
The part number is 9590206 and it should be available from this site.
Cheers.ELDAR59
ParticipantRe: Liebherr fridge thermostat replacement
That’s absolutely outrageous!
The stat should run through the top of the fridge and terminate at the bottom of the evaporator. If you give the round slotted plastic fixings a quarter of a turn then the evaporator will come away from the back wall a little and if you feel along the bottom edge of it, you’ll feel where the thermostat sensing bulb fits.
The real question is if the guy from John Wayne domestics has wired the stat correctly so you can fit the new one correctly.
Hope this helps.Cheers.

ParticipantRe: Puddle beneath Britannia Nebraska FF
This is a GE made appliance and a common fault with this is that the pipe from the water valve becomes brittle over time and cracks.
If this is the case, then you need a new water tank which comes complete with the pipework.
The ‘pond’ of water has nothing to do with the pipework at all but is obviously in the same area.
Look around the water valve and at the bottom, probably 4 to 6 inches away from the valve, the pipework will most probably be yellowed and brittle.ELDAR59
ParticipantRe: Liebherr ICBN3366
No worries.
Another thing to check would be that the icemaker fill tube isn’t blocked up with ice.ELDAR59
ParticipantRe: Liebherr ICBN3366
Hi mate, sorry I’ve just seen this. If the icemaker flashes 3 times only, this is indicating the fill time. The factory setting is 3 flashes, on a scale of 1 to 8.
If this is what you’re finding, then just hold in the little button underneath the flashing led until it goes off or stays on steady.
If the light flashes all the time, then it could indicate that there’s no magnet in the ice bucket underneath the ice maker.
The magnet interacts with a reed switch on the icemaker. Without the magnet being in place, then the appliance won’t harvest the ice.
If there’s no magnet in the ice bucket, try the one alongside it and see if there’s one in that one.ELDAR59

Hi Bryan, can we have some clarification on the cake thing?
Are the cakes to be sold off or something?Cheers.

Where are you based? Have you tried the engineer search on this site?

ParticipantRe: Liebherr error code f4 evaporator sensor
Whilst not exactly being rocket science, replacing the evaporator sensor could be a little tricky for an enthusiastic amateur – no offense meant!
The sensor comes into the freezer compartment at the top left hand side, looking in from the front.
The cable runs down the side of the evaporator and the head of the sensor locates at the bottom of the evaporator.
The 142 sensor kit necessitates the old sensor head to be cut off the cable and the new cable and sensor head to be joined (outside the cabinet) and then routed through the hole in the cabinet, down the side of the evaporator before locating the sensor head at the bottom of the evaporator, approximately halfway across.ELDAR59
ParticipantRe: Liebherr error code f4 evaporator sensor
Hi guys, F4 relates to a freezer evaporator sensor fault. The part number you mention is correct.
The 9590142 sensor kit replaced the 9590148 but that itself has been changed to a 9590206 now, although the 142 kit will work perfectly.

ParticipantRe: Fridge freezer tripping electric
Hello, normally with a frost free fridge freezer tripping, it’s earth leakage attributed to either the defrost heater or compressor.
So, first thing would be to megger it and if you get a bad reading then take these components out of circuit until the reading is good.ELDAR59

Thanks Bryan.

There’s a lot of these about right now with leaking evaporators.
That’s probably the root cause of the problem. -
