Jon, if there’s no power from pcb to fan, then you’ll need a fan too.
    Cheers.

We’ve dealt with them a little recently and found them ok. No problems so far with payment.

Hello, this does sound like the thermostat.
It’s part number 6151178. Fairly easy to replace for someone who is reasonably competent.
The usual power off warning applies.

Hello, there’s normally something else to act as an indicator, like a flashing temperature indicator.
It’s more than likely the evaporator sensor anyway.
You could go to the pcb, take off the evaporator sensor connector (it would be the one marked green) and see if the alarm condition changed.
If it didn’t, then that’s your problem.

    Cheers.

Hello, if it was left open all night then that almost definitely is your problem and you’d have to do a good defrost on the freezer.

Hi Ken, it’s a frost free freezer with a wet wall evaporator. There’s a diverter valve to control the flow of refrigerant to the fridge.
If the freezer isn’t cold enough, then it’ll take precedence over the fridge and the fridge won’t be cold too.

Re: Liebherr Fridge Freezer Temperature Issue

Hello Manhattan, how long was the door left open for?
Leaving the door open would have allowed the freezer evaporator to frost over, thereby restricting the air flow and resulting in a loss of temperature.
If the door was open for any lengthy period, then you’ll have to do a full defrost of the freezer. This could take a while and would involve turning off the appliance and leaving the freezer door open.
If all the components in the appliance are ok, then carrying out a defrost should work.

    The freezer evaporator sensor then?
I’d try the fridge evaporator sensor.

Hello, you say the superfrost button is flashing? This indicates a sensor fault.
Which evaporator sensor was changed, do you know?

Hello, is the ice bin back where it should be? On the bin that collects the ice is a magnet (at the top) which interacts with a reed switch on the icemaker itself.
If the reed switch doesn’t detect the magnet, then the light on the icemaker will flash and it won’t make ice.

Re: Whirlpool to do a recall on Hotpoint dryers

Would you be happy having someone who has no understanding of these machines and has spent an hour learning how to use a multi-meter doing this to your tumble dryer?

We are carrying out the modification and I have 2 guys brought in especially to do this.
They’ve been on the training that was offered to us and we’ve also been out in the field with them.
I’d be more than happy having either one in my house modifying my dryer.

Totally shocked to hear this awful news. I was one of many people I’m sure, that John had helped out.
I didn’t see much of him at the last meeting, but my last words to him were, “see you in September”.
    A lovely guy.
    My condolences to his family.
    R.I.P. Big man.

    Re: AEG induction hob

It’s a sad indicator of the culture that prevails nowadays that we, as engineers have to have a good look around any appliance before any work begins.
The inspection normally takes in the appliance, surrounding cupboards, cabinets and flooring.
Surely it wasn’t always like this?
Then when an engineer points out a potential problem which eventually escalates into an issue and despite the manufacturer offering to put right an appliance that was ALREADY FAULTY, it’s still not enough!!
Makes you wonder if it’s all worth it.
