ParticipantRe: Hotpoint FF200EG fridge freezer
There is a defrost heater kit for these machines – it’s about twice the size of the original heater- available from connect – don’t have part number sorry.

ParticipantRe: Hoover condenser t/d probs.
Top off – c/panel off- plinth off – 2 screws at top of front panel – 4 screws on front of front panel -2 of which are the top screw on each hinge – 2 screws under front edge of front panel – disconnect door sw – 4 hex screws on drum support – lift drum support upwards then pull bottom towards you it will then come clear. remove circlip from drum shaft and wiggle belt backwards on drum until it comes off -drum will then come out leaving motor etc exposed.then just have to put eveything back – piece of cake really. NOT.

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP8224 Dreaded E3 4beeps no heat
Have you checked for broken wires in the loom as it passes from bottom of door under machine as this is a common fault which would stop it heating.

ParticipantRe: LG WD12126RD
That’s what the fault codes say – DHE – Change dryer heater element

ParticipantRe: hotpoint problem
yep thats right -missed the M out
Franzfranz
ParticipantRe: hotpoint problem
don’t just check continuity of element – check insulation resistance as well- if this is low it may cause this fault, anything below 30 ohms may be dodgy

ParticipantRe: HPT new belt fitting tool
That tool won’t work on the condenser dryer – it’s for the vented dryer – it slots into a hole in the base
