ParticipantRe: 0800 repair jtm failing engineers/contractors
i think its mostly down to the way they have set up there software , but weve being telling them for years the system is crap ..so i can only assume they are happy with the way their system works – tells you a lot about the organisation behind the system doesnt it ?
you just need to look at the whole 0800 farce-chise , that went well .

ParticipantRe: The 0800 Thread
its just a pity some of the guys dont see these posts before they decide to join a ” repair network ” .
you can take a horse to water and all that – hopefully some of the new ukw-ers will spread the word that it is worth being a member or UKW and WTA etc .

ParticipantRe: 0800 repair jtm failing engineers/contractors
same old story with 0800 /jtm , always owing them more than you have made .. a never ending cycle of ordered parts that you cant fit as waiting on other parts – thus you have a parts balance that outweigh the labour due in.. they are very cute at this.
we binned them a few years back for this nonsense ,
i have only met a few agents who can make money from jtm , the rest seem to waste it doing their work and never getting paid ..

cynical maybe who knows what the puppet masters have in store

ParticipantRe: Indesit Lay Off 1425 Workers
yeh correct martin – we have outsourced almost everything
no manufacturing = no workers = no one spending money .we soon wont have the money to buy the cheap crap that they so desperately insist is made abroad.
heard a phrase the other day that we still have factories – their called call centers

ParticipantRe: The 0800 Thread
hi not sure tbh , but im sure if you get a hold of mike0800 he will be able to help
we have not been privy to the inner workings of 0800 .. quite a lot on the outer working ..lol
hopefully mike will give you a heads up
ally..
ps whats your experience been with 0800 , are they still taking on franchise etc

ParticipantRe: Environcom

ParticipantRe: trade qualifications ?
from a personal point of view i feel its good to get training and gain insight on how the outside world see our bubble , we can get wrapped up in what we do so it is interesting to see how a institution like a college view the whitegoods industry.
yes some of it shouldn’t apply to what we do but its square pegs round holes.
i would say that more training on customer care / perception would be more of a advantage. as engineers we know how to repair appliance – repairing customers is a lot harder and more time consuming..
