7-8 million a day i suppose small change when your running a country , but its a lot of ready cash for the government.

dont get me started on what or who its spent on ..

ive always wondered how much a day was generated ..look how many trucks are on the road …

    Re: marketing club ?

hi ken yes video is the way forward ,
never used to be but with so many customers young and old having access to smart phones tablets who understand internet/video there has never been a better time .

my kids are 14 to 19 they all use smart phones and are always showing me something theve found on youtube etc . funny bit is they never seem to be on laptops now its all smart phone /tablet , this may change as they get older but i have a feeling this will to be the way forward

they are the next generation of appliance users so apps etc for smart phone / tablet looks like the next steps ..

im in favour of any marketing tool to help the indies online profile ..maybe a wta app that routes the customer to local wta member once they have tried all the suggestions on the diy /help app..

Re: dont just sit their googleling yourself – you will go bl

well done mike your doing the right things ..

just type into google free listing sites , and list your business in them all …make sure you keep the same address on all listings …ie dont put street in 1 listing and the st in another …always put street dont abbreviate – google spiders crawl all these site to check for verification – you are who you say you are and your adress is always the same …

ive heard bt are big on seo /web building etc but not looked into that yet ..

ive you have the time … do all this – google have loads of videos on youtube on how to to this that and the other , there are also lots of smart cookies doing seo/marketing videos – so have a look at them and decide what might work for you ..

and this goes for anyone else as well – if your quiet spend half a day getting your online profile better ..

free index works quite good for a lot of guys …

if you pm me i can give you a quick tip on how to get on page 1 google withing couple of hours …

    Re: electrical safety testing ?

i know this test is standard with brit gas .. but they also have electricians they need to keep busy , not sure how they see this within their organisation ? .

i would see it as good practice if i found an issue with earth loop .. i would rather a customer get an electrician to check over system most of the time its council and wont cost them
