Yes, they are still trading. I had to buy a few bits off them as no one else had stock.

ParticipantI never followed up with this post.
I think we gave them a cheque for £100-150 and took no responsibility for the leak.
We have been working with the agent since and get plenty of work from them – we now make it a habit to take multiple pictures and videos on every job before and after and stick it on a Pcloud drive in a folder with the address and date of work.
I can’t think of any other complain since then which is good.
Everyone has a phone, take loads of pics.September 2, 2025 at 10:06 am in reply to: Domestic Appliance Distributors D.A.D. into administration. #493578Furhan
ParticipantI only found out after another supplier left me a voicemail asking if we needed anything because of the recent DAD news – ruthless 😎

ParticipantI have been using DAD for years, slowed down since Covid but I always found their price and service to be very good. It will be a shame if they go completely. I know a few of the staff left over the past year or two because of “issues”.

ParticipantThe washer dryer from the original post is working fine now, I put a bucket of water into the drum and started the cycle, it drained away and started the rinse cycle.
I did notice that is started filling again part way through the drain cycle but that is because the water was coming up through the sink. I used a plunger to clear the blockage it was was working fine.Furhan
ParticipantFurhan wrote:I have an Indesit IWDC65125 washer dryer about 18 months old.
The initial fault was the water was stuck in the machine, found blockage in the pump, cleared it out. Still not draining, found the waste connector clogged up and drain hose clogged up, cleared out, tested with a quick fill and drain, ok.
Reconnected the machine and now the pump comes on for a couple of minutes but it does not fill at all.
It was working when I was clearing out the drain hose but I am not sure what the issue is.I replicated the fault on another machine, pressure switch appears to be the culprit.

ParticipantI need to get back to that machine tomorrow.
I put another IWDC65125 into test mode and of the 5 vertical LEDs (not including the door lock) the End and Dryer leds are steady.
I just spotted a page on UKWG (Hotpoint WML | WDL | BHWD) with a list of error codes for 5 led machine – the codes listed for Indesit are older and 4 LED – unless I should exclude End too.If I am understanding it correctly, the End and Dryer LEDs indicate a dryer thermistor fault.
Am I correct?Furhan
ParticipantPump sounds fine.
I need to manually fill and test.Is the test program for this washer dryer:
P 1 Turn the machine off
P2 Turn the machine off
P3 Turn the machine off
Switch it back to p1
Turn the machine on and switch it to drain
Press&hold start buttonI had a search through the forum and results for all of the older Indesit were there – found this on YouTube.

ParticipantManaged to find another machine with the same dryer assembly, swapped it with that one and working ok. Need to test this one again to isolate the fault.

ParticipantYes, switched the NTC.
Just tested again, it works for a few minutes then the top horizontal lights all flash, the vertical progress lights, the bottom three drain, dryer and end are steady green with the red door lock light on too.August 20, 2020 at 9:29 am in reply to: Hotpoint FFA97 fridge freezer, blowing bulb, how to change lamp holder? #471289Furhan
ParticipantI see that the lamp holder has the wires crimped or fastened inside, does anyone know how to remove and replace? Is it a case of cutting the old wires and inserting into the new lamp holder?

ParticipantRe: Identifying Date Codes and Serial Numbers
Thanks, I was searching for Hotpoint WMUD962P serial starting 1102, I assumed it was Feb 2011 but searching online provided various results and tables…

ParticipantRe: Zanussi ZWG1121P filter inside drum, how do I open it?
Hi,
I also found that but it is not correct. I managed to drain the water manually and found a screw holding the cover in, no button.Furhan
ParticipantRe: Fridge freezer door Legal help please
Old topic I know.
We sometimes have to write off appliances as beyond economical repair and charge a callout if not replacing the appliance (for estate agents). We do not usually specify the reason on the invoice as we have worked with most of our customers for years and built up trust. If the landlord replaces the appliance and has paid the estate agent our invoice but then says the appliance was ok are we liable for anything?
We will say it is BER if the parts are unavailable, will cost more then say £95, appliance is old and not worth fixing.Just wondering really as this issue has not come up before – and hopefully never will!
