    Hi
I would look for a blockage in pressure system or faulty pressure unit.
As for earth leakage, yes it can cause strange errors, an insulation test will be invaluable in this instance.

    Hi
If you need a new pump, the new ones come with a more protruding filter grip for easier unscrewing.
If you can supply full model number we can sort a part number out for pump if required.

    PTO
The options are there, either £12 for kit which is granted a mod sheet and two connector OR search for modification which has been posted on here before.
If you are comfortable cutting into the insulation of your own fridge then fine, however other people reading this may not be and may cause further damage to appliance or injure themselves. The main basis of advising on a repair is that it has to be deemed safe and acceptable to the public and we as professional repair engineers have to make sure that the repair offered is based on just that.
Hope thats the end of that as there really is no more to add on this post.

    Regards

Well if I repeated it that would defeat the deletion 😀 but basically it entailed hacking into a fridge insulation which seemed a tad excessive. If you can be bothered to use the search facility you may even find the mod has already been mentioned previously 😉

I can either buy an expensive kit

Its about £12 p/no 491416, so not too bad.

…. what is the point of the manufacturers claiming to be all environmentally friendly by producing ‘A Rating’ machines etc, but in such a manner that if something simple fails you might have to throw it into the nearest landfill because you can’t easily change a 99p part.

I agree to an extent but like I said and has been mentioned before, there are cheap alternatives to repairing 😀

    Hi Bryan
When you get there check out the manual before doing anything 😀
Make sure you can hear a definite tact switch click when pressing appropriate buttons.
Failing that it’s not un heard of for the control unit on l/h/s to go faulty 267876.

    Hi Geoff
It may be worth removing and cleaning the pressure bottle (next to heater) and checking operation and contacts on pressure switch. 😉

    Removed PTO’s post from here tonight http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … 772#109772
He was advising publicly to start cutting into foam wall of fridge to gain access to ntc.

I know he is public but it is stupid to advise that when there is a perfectly safe modification available re- Boro’s post.
