Some matrix tanks have a breather hole which when turned upside down may empty the contents of the tank into lid space, then when returned to normal orintation would spill into components.

    Hi
Under no circumstances should you be live testing :nono:
Unplug appliance before attempting any measurements and/or repairs.
The motor is fed by an AC feed FYI.
Make sure the clock is set and also on the “Manual” hand symbol setting.
Usually you will hear a low hum in the cavity when turned to fan oven setting, indicating the motor is semi seizing or windings have gone weak.

Re: Do you turn dishwashers upside down?

    Hi Andy
Im with Martin on this one, what goes up etc. I would be worried that either when turned upside down or returned for that position water may ingress into electrical/electronic components 😯
I know some manufacturers tech have advised you can but Im not comfortable doing it. 8)

    Hi
What I would do is with appliance un-plugged, check the fill valve solenoid resistences. They should individually read between 2-4 kohms.

    Hi scratch
You can also tell her to do a maintanence wash on a monthly basis ie- using a quality powder or tablet (not liquid) put the machine on the hottest wash it will do with no clothing in, just the detergent.
