ParticipantRe: Bosch Condensor dryer – WTL6106GB probem
The carbon brush in contact with the drum completes a circuit and measures the resistance between the paddles and the main drum. If this carbon was to be faulty it would cause a fault in the drying times.

ParticipantRe: Stoves 900GTF Oven – unstable main oven flame
Hi
Flame lift off is due to a lack of oxygen, ie poor room ventilation and will give you a build up of carbon monoxide.
I would cease to use this appliance immediately until you get it checked by a corgi registered installer.
Please use this link to find your nearest engineer Find a corgi installerRegards

ParticipantRe: Dead WFL2260 after changing brushes
Hi
As previous posts, sounds like motor or other components may be damaged. There are two makes of motor that could be fitted to your appliance.
May I suggest using the find an engineer link below as the problem you had is rapidly going pear shaped.regards

you slide them over till the cutout matches up with the holder then it lifts up and out – just wasn’t pulling hard enough.

Its the getting them back in thats the hard bit 😉 make sure you get the brushes facing the correct angle on the commutator. Best way to check is to offer the brush down the guide until it meets the commutator.Spin the motor shaft by hand, if no horrible clipping noise is heard then it is in the correct orientation.

Hi
You know what Martin you are correct 😳
It does by memory have a re-settable cut out but is only accessible by removing rear panel.Greg 😉

ParticipantRe: bosch wta 3100 no heat
Hi
Here are main things that really tick off any dryer1/ overloading
2/ blocked lint filter/vent
3/ stopping cycle before last 10 mins of cool downIf any of these are done then activation of the thermal cut out will almost be inevitable. Reset at the rear by pressing the red membrane.

ParticipantRe: ADP 8242 Error Code E2
Once you take the filters out, in the recess, the black flap is un missable, unless it is missing 😯 I have seen this and would cause this fault 😉
Obviously if its missing you wil be left with a hole approx diameter of the old halfpenny.Hi Ken, hows Del

ParticipantRe: Gas Oven will not exceed 155 C
Could be numerous things like door not sealing, thermostat, burner choked etc
I would check our repairs section out due to age and being a gas appliance.
