    Re: Knob!

Ah! I have it down as knob/disc.

And I don’t have a picture of it.

I want the knob for a Creda europa 48121/2, in brown please.

    Re: Knob!

    Thank you.

Is it just the disc, or knob and disc, coz it’s the knob I need?

Edit – I think it does come with the knob.

    It’s all a matter of taste Goatboy….

This is why this is a dangerous topic. People normally are entitled to their opinions, but when it comes to music, everyone must agree with me. 😉

Speaking of ‘Dave’ music (notice how he’s staying out of this one) I’ve got into Johnnie Cash lately. An artist generally needs to die before I’ll listen to them. Kurt Cobain, Lynn Straight etc.

Luckily I missed the 80’s. I just watched it happen to my big brother; but he brain-washed me with Prince. 😳 Then my big sister brain-washed me with Metallica, and my metal obsession began.

    Re: Hotpoint BS was it?

    Sorry, I’ve stopped laughing now.

If just recieved the new Bosch Appliance catalogues, and when thumbing through I saw this thing!

    http://www.boschappliances.co.uk/produc … 59&type=HL

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/albums/al … BS1400.jpg

Comparing the two, there a fair few differents actually. Bosch is a 9kg load, Hotpoint is 8.5kg. 😕 The soap goes in the top on the Bosch, doesn’t seem to on the Hotpoint. And the controls for the Hotpoint are on the door, and not on the Bosch.

    Hmmmm. 😕

It gotta be the same Korean factory though, right?

Or maybe they stole/shared an idea.

There’s a cut-out in the main body of the vac, on the front, behind the giant floor tool, tiny little button. This cuts out the brush-head motor when the brush-roll gets blocked.

Bearings failed on low spec appliance?
We have had a few fail on this Spanish produced model. 😉

That’s the one’s! Not many bearing problems though. Mostly on Spanish stuff with the steel tub.

IME the plastic tub seems alot more reliable.

Martin, I’ve had three cases where an interlock has blown the PCB. My initial point was, I’ve never had a interlock go faulty without it blowing the PCB, but I think I’ve just had three freak machines. And carbon dust gets everywhere! Even into the facia and covers the PCB.

My most popular machine is the cheapest Bosch (WFO2466 + WFL2066). People just won’t spend the money on mid-range models round here. Before them, it was the WFD2466 + 2066 I think, right back to before the Bosch name was on the market and there was a cheap spanish Siemens, and an expensive german tank Siemans (WH50640, I think). Now that german Siemens was a fantastic machine.
