IIRC there’s a screw at the bottom of a long narrow shaft on the bottom of the m/c, which is the awkward bit to splitting the body 😕

Re: UK Whitegoods Meeting – Feb 06

Now that it’s the new year, I’d like to revive this topic to remind people that haven’t booked (me), that it’s time to get a move on!

What time will we probably kick-off on Friday morning, 9ish or 10ish?

The Cashmeister? Cool! 😀 I can’t remember where I heard it. It just made me laugh at the time, and I use it alot now.

If the reciepiant is female it’s “Damn you woman!” in a baby from ‘Family Guy’ style.

If the reciepiant is male it’s “Damn your eyes!”

Somewhere sparsly populated. Somewhere with miles and miles of open space. Somewhere empty. Somewhere, where you could house 3 small African countries. Oh, Scotland! Well, the north bit.

Re: Hotpoint WMA31P makes small holes in garments.

Warning – This post contains Goatboy’s opinions

Hotpoint had the same drum design for years! They sold millions of those machines, the 95** or the WM. The country ran off them! If you washed every day, you might be able to wear out the bearings in about 5-10years.

A few years back, Hotpoint spendt millions out pounds designing a new machine, the WMA. It had a revolutionary new drum seal, the seal that stop water getting into the bearings, but it didn’t seal very well. So now on WMA’s, water gets into the bearings at a young age, and the bearings become noisy and collapse.

Alot of these machine broke under guarantee, which cost Hotpoint more money. The drum seal has been updated a few times, but (IMHO) it’s still not very good. Hotpoint lost so much money because of this, that they were taken over by The Merloni group. And the rest is too depressing to carry on typing…

If you have a WMA, and if your lucky, the machine will collaspe under guarantee, and you’ll get it fixed for free. Iadom might want to correct me here, but I think, even with the updated drum seals, there will always be bearing problems with this tub.

    Re: New Windows Software

It mentions alot, that it will interact with your xbox 360 😀

I just need an xbox 360 now! I thought my dear gf had bought me one for Christmas. There was lots of whisperings of xbox, and she was meeting people in dark allys, to pick up big boxes, that I wasn’t allowed to see.

It turns out she’d just bought me an old xbox, and got it *****ed, to replaced my old knackered xbox. I say ‘just’. Twas a great present! 😀 But it wasn’t a 360!

I think I told her that I loved her for the first time after that! If she wants to hear it again, she can buy me another console 😉

Before the customer says anything, you say…

    “What’s that smell?”

Creda main oven thermostat for 49511t

    6227150 – £44.58

All the other stats have £15 – £25 alternatives. I can’t find one for this 🙁

And of course, the customer doesn’t want to spend that much on his oven 🙁

Damn you Merloni! Damn your eyes!

    Goatboy’s revised advice, after a little reading-up…

    Unplug the modem.

Turn off the PC (just in case).

    Stock up on beer, quick!

Drape a large bed sheet over the kitchen table.

Get under the table with a crate of beer.

Give it a couple of weeks before you come out.

    Holy **** iadom!

Ignorance is bliss. I’m scared wittless now 🙁

I’ve just crawled out from under the kitchen table.

Can you help us out to a link to the patch when Bill releases it please? I’m not doing a proper windows update!

😆 I made a program while I was at college using Pascal 😆

That was about 8 years ago, so it’s a little dated. This was while I was doing a computing A-level; and it was designed it around a domestic appliance repair business, so it’s pretty good 8)

1701624 fits most condensor dryers, but a model number is needed to make sure 😛

    Re: Serious Windows wmf.exploit threat.

I think it would be a bit more serious than that! See Martin’s post. 🙁 Though, the picture thing sounds similar.

From what I’ve heard, the main threat is a trojan that installs spyware. 😯
