    Re: Questions

OK, the boss came back whinging, after installing a washer this morning.

Not only was the flex very short, but there was a moulded fixing around the flex, where it fixed onto the mains filter.

So to feed the flex through a worktop, he had to use the flex off the old machine.

He wants to know what the flex will be like on the ‘X’ model.

He’s sugguesting a 8ft flex (not going to happen, right?), which is held on the cabinet with a flex connecter, so it can be easily removed, and threaded through a worktop.

    I feel a EU regulation mention comming…

I usually (accidentally) put my thumb and finger on the live and neutral pin respectively, just after I’ve unplugged the machine.

Thus using the ‘discharge it through your hand’ technic. 😳

I’ve just had the rep in from phart-scenter, whinging about this thread.

    “Mare!!! It’s not true!”

It’s probably not true. If I suspected any truth it in, I’d of posted it in the gereral forum, and not the rummor mill.

I’ve had that problem 100’s of times, and it’s always the tacho.

I’m sure all other appliance engineers would agree.

    Re: That Partscenter website!!

Yeah! We want it spelt the French way, not the American. 😆

Anyhoo, now for my two cents (or should that be pence). Rather than being more user-friendly, it just needs to be faster, and have the indentifier working.

The rep came here and said “Indentifier does work!”

So I said “OK, open it!”

He said said “Oh, it must be a firefox problem.”

So I said “Here’s internet explorer, open it!”

    He said ” 😡 😳 😥 “

I know it would take countless hours to setup, but stocklink was great for just quickly tapping in a model number a getting a list of spares. Any chance of seeing that on the website?

ps. Good luck with the meeting. I used to be wash-vacs biggest fan. A return to form is overdue.

Can you confirm that Partscenter won’t be selling to the public, under any name.

    Family!

No matter how awkward a normal customer can be…it’s always the family members that are the most awkward, IMHO.

Re: Hotpoint DWF30 – Lights but no action

Is the machine filling with water. It’s a pretty obvious watery noise right at the start of the program. Is the water supply to the machine turned on?

I know you won’t get electrucuted checking that, but unplug the machine before working on it. 😉

Besides that, there could be, ohhhh, so many different things to check. 😕

Repairs@ can provide a professional engineer in your area.

Edit – Wow iadom, did it take me 4 minutes to type that? 😆
