As usual, Ken summarises perfectly, and with great humour! 😀
Did you refer to craig as an ‘it’?

Hmmmmm…
I know how I feel about that, but you’ve got me too scared to comment now. 🙁

I’ve been in the garden and put a spoonful of Night-Nurse in the bird bath. If the rest of the nation does the same, that should sort it.

ps. I won’t go easy! I’ll go out, like I came in, kicking and screaming! 😡

It’s great stuff quicksteel!
…unless the hole is too big! 🙁 It’s mainly for cracks.
I don’t rough up the area, but putting it on the inside of the tub too, would be a good idea if it’s possible

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WMA61
My technic is the best, of course!
Like Iadom, remove the facia and keep the machine upright. Then I take everything off the drum, except for the motor, belt and heater wires, because it’s a pain in the botty to do through that tiny panel.
It’s far easier to remove the drum, through the front, with the motor belt and heater wires still in place. The bag-ties down the front of the tub must be cut so there’s slack on the wiring haress. Then just pull the tub out and lay the tub on it front, in front of the empty cabinet. From here the motor is very easy to remove.
ps. The only wires I remove from compoents are the heater wires, and the pump plug. I leave every other compoent plugged in.

No kidding. Those smug gits walk in my shop every year with a big smile on their faces, because they know they will be leaving with a couple of grand. 😡
I didn’t think anyone could afford not to use YP. Everyone uses it around here. I’d be very interested in a venture. And if you need some more support, I’ll personally ralley my local rivals and friends.

Beyond all recognition!
It’s what we use instead of BER, not in front of customers though. 😕
I’ve got to start using the phrase ‘BER’ more. The boss doesn’t like it when I tell a customer that their machine is ‘knackered’.

Whoooo! 😯 😆
I’m gonna get a few slaps for telling that one. It’s worth it!
Thank you to the people that had the common sense to PM me the really nasty one’s.
They’re much appreciated. 😀

ParticipantRe: Questions
I told him that, but he insisted I asked you about it! 🙄
You know what i mean about the flex at the supressor end, right?
The new Bosch are a PITA, because there’s now a big square chunk of plastic moulded around the end of the flex.
Of course, you need a flex grip, but removable ones are best, so flexes can be threaded through worktops. Or maybe the new rule is, they have to be moulded, to stop tampering. 😕
