That’s great! Nothing for the boss to whine about now!
😀 😀 😀
ps. His other whine, was a door only opening 90 degrees; but I see thats not the case either.

The boss (and me to tell the truth) are still very concerned about the colour. I suppose you can’t change the colour now, but can you say anything to reassure us?

I suppose we should wait for a name before starting our ‘assault’ on the public?
How about a name that incorperates the two creators…
The Kevken, or the Kenkev.
The ‘Kevken’ sounds like an appliance name to me. 😀

Great value! 😀
The cheapest Bosch 1400s are more expensive than that.

Maybe some members could sugguest a name for the beast?
That’s my suggestion, ‘The Beast’!

Maybe that could be a impressive demostration for the customer?
Grab the machine by the door, and say…
“Well-built? Watch this!”
HEAVE!!!

gmpen01 wrote:Unfortunately none of my tools will open the machine. I would appreciate any advice on what is required to open the motor section of the machine. There are five star like screws with a very narrow access which need to be removed.
For safety reasons, I can’t tell you exactly how to open the machine. But your on the right track. Those are torx screws, and the Dyson’s are designed with those narrow access shafts so they are unaccessable with a ‘torx-bit set.’ You need the correct torx fitting on a screwdriver, with a long shaft. Dyson do that to stop Joe Bloggs from splitting the vacs body. 😕 Again, for safety reasons.
It would be better to try and find a local appliance engineer, that does vacuum repairs too, or if your going to split the body yourself, make sure the appliance is isolated from the mains. You don’t want to go… :zap:

Have you got a venue?
Monday morning isn’t ideal, but I’m sure I could sort something.

Arrrgggghhhh!!! Twas a nightmare ont M6 on Saturday afternoon! 🙁
It looked to me like you stopped off at the drive-through, so you’d be a good 20 min behind me.
There were cars flying off the motorway everywhere; and people slamming into the back of each other. Goatboy was almost scared! It was horrible!
Having seen what you drive, I reckon the others guys car will be wrecked, and you’ll have a dented bumper 😉

A little more information is needed please.
When does this happen; and what is the machine doing?
Is the machine filling with water OK?
Tell us as much as you can please.

ParticipantRe: Dyson DC04 – switch removal
I think what Tony meant to say, was…
Unplug the vacuum before you start any work! :zap: The flex, of course, runs straight to the mains electricity; so if it’s plugged in, you will die!
It does sound like a break in the flex. Access to the flex is under the on/off switch.
