When I was talking to one of the Mumbai Muppets last week she asked me to to open http://192.168.100.1/ and change a setting, I told her the fault was in the big green box outside my house but she was having none of it and insisted a technician called. Next day a Tech called and admited it was a fault on the network and would call a man to look at the big green box outside my house 😆 😆 Still have never found what to do with the address: http://192.168.100.1/
Getting Confused now :rolls: Goose

Just tried Gegsys suggestion. Again showed about 3.2 mgbts, not looking forward to monday as I feel as i,am paying for 10Mgbts I want 10 Mgbts but after last weeks experiance with Indian call centers I know its going to be a nightmare. Before Virgin took over the Telewest tech help was quite good, you could talk to someone you could understand and they understood what I ws talking about. but now :shake:

Thanks for that link Dave. It showed my download speed at 3.2 Mgbts 😕 will have to have a word with someone at Virgin media on Monday 😡 . Funnily enough when the cable guy called last week to fit another box, He suggested I call Virgin to confirm thay have upgraded my broardband service.

Have been on Telewest/Ntl Now virgin Media for 4 years now and have just upgraded to the 10mgbt service. Trouble is it don’t seem to be any faster than it was before. is there any way of checking the download speed without talking to some muppet in India as I have had a bad week of trying to sort out problems with the overall service this week and could not go through it again without being extremely rude to someone.

ParticipantRe: Pattern Heaters: A cautionary tale 🙁
Martin, Very sorry to hear of your problem but you are not alone i am sure, Once fitted a Connect pattern element to a bosch oven and as soon as I turned it on to test it got an almighty bang and flash from the oven. Took the company fuse out and I had to hang around for 2 hrs waiting for the lecy guy to come and replace It. As I have stated in previous post I avoid pattern elements like the plague. All the best with this one, let us know how Connect react

ParticipantRe: Baumatic D/W Element
Be carefully ordering on this one, I ordered an element for a BDW13 from connect and presumed the connect picture was incorrect 😥 . No it was the right picture but the wrong part, It turned out to be a hoover element which I already had on the van. Never did get the right part, but with a bit of ingenuity I managed to get another merloni heater to fit, it was 2 days before I finished for christmas, I wasted £30 on a part I already had, And the customer as always had 20 people due to stay with them over the holiday . I told then the truth that I will bodge this element in and if it fails after christmas go and buy a decent machine as this one was a poor copy of an Indisit made in China 😆 😥
P.S I think I know how to tell if a Merloni look alike has been made in china. Most of the wiring connection seem to have blue insulated crimp terminals rather that bare machine made ones
