Forget the above, i’ve just discovered that the part number 3950298 is actually printed on the switch itself. I didn’t notice until i’ve just started going the the photos I took of it.

From looking at the images, its a BSH machine. I just need to cross reference the machine to a Bosch/Neff/Siemens equivalent. Its got to be cheaper than this prices, wow.

    Thanks Jem,
I have had the heater put different codes up when theres a short to earth on these. I must admit I didn’t check it, but this does actually overfill. Water up to the top of the door.

Re: Miele g653 SCVI Plus overfilling

Yes, it’s definitely overfilling. The spray arms can hardly move because of the amount of water and if you were to move the machine slightly (when out of the built in position) the water over spills from the door.
When I originally went to see the machine I checked the pump and the non return float, along with any floating blockages, but nothing.
Like I say, originally it would just overfill to the point where it wouldn’t bring the motor on but just fault on you. Now it fills a little lower and sprays ok but way too high and it will time out draining before it refills.

Re: Miele g653 SCVI Plus overfilling

Just to bring this subject up again. The customer was away on holiday and I’ve been out to fit the flow meter this week.
The flow meter definitely made the machine actually start up. The original fault was that it would start up as normal, drain and then fill. It would seem to overfill until the inlet/drain light flashed.
With the new flow meter it would fill up and start to spray and work but it is still putting in too much water.
The water is touching the spray arm. I tried it on the pre wash and it still works but just doesn’t empty all the water in time at the end and as such if you were to put it on a normal wash, it would fault when it tries to refill.
Does anybody have any idea what could cause it to overfill other than the flow meter.
    Thanks
    Nick

Yeah, that was the terms they agreed to. To be fair they kept pestering me to send back all my information so they could put me on there books. I wasn’t too bothered.I’m sure they will find some mug that will do a months work for nothing.

I’ve passed all my details over to them a few weeks ago and not heard anything back from them since. They accepted my labour rates and payment terms but maybe this is a put off, but its the only way i’ll accept a new work provider until I can trust them.

I know here in the north west for me, it starts to slow down in March, April and May and starts to pick up towards the end on June. This year has been particularly noticeable from other years though.

Just ticking over at the minute. Not busy but enough for a days work. It is nearing the end of the month and i’m sure more and more people are waiting to be paid before calling these days.
