    Re: Site very slow.?

It was an absolute mare here this morning, only managed one post and that duplicated after editing. Over an hour when access was virtually impossible. 😥

    Re: Getting old

Always been a Wogan fan, and used to enjoy Jimmy Young before he retired, don’t like Jeremy Vine, too strident and to be honest I find Ken Bruce anodyne. Wogan in the morning then I flit between Classic FM, Key 103 a very good local commercial station and Five Live. 🙂
Stopped listening to Radio One more 15 years ago, is Dave Lee Travis still there 😉 Now Radio Luxemburg thats another story, with your tiny trannie under the pillow, sound fading in and out, Horace Batchelors, ‘Infra Draw Method’ how do you spell it 😉 K——M Bristol. 😀

    Re: AEG dishwasher.

I have ordered a nut & a bezel, will have to find another alternative source for the seal, unless you know of one, 😉

    Re: AEG dishwasher.

That is listed as a bezel?? the diagram also shows a ‘nut’ with two different part numbers and a seal, part number 8996460690507, unfortunately, Masterpart does not recognize that number.

Does the bezel include a nut & seal?

Terminal five/common is five in from the edge Laurence. 😉
Common is at the end of the connector block.

Re: Circuit Diagram for Hoover AC272

for some annoying reason I cannot scan the page you need, worked fine half an hour ago, not sure if it is PaintShopPro or my Hp psc playing up.

If you can find out what the spin speed of the machine should be then here goes.

From the edge of the PC Board inwards, terminals are 500,800, 1000/1100.1200 & common, your block will have a link between either 2 & 5 (five being the end of block) for 800 rpm, 3 & five for 100/1100 rpm, or 4 & 5 for 1200 rpm.

    HTH.

    Jim.

    Chris.

Got one of them, and one for a 1500.
Laurence, I agree the later Hoover diagrams from 95 to 98 are poor. 😥

wilf, according to the diagrams the variable speed control says ‘export only’ but it appears from the diagram to be at the bottom 😕

EDIT. found another page for machines with a single pole door switch.

    E-mail on the way. 🙂

    Jim.

Second time in a week that I have had to dig out old hoover manuals from the garage, nobody want a wiring diagram for a Hotpoint 1504 or an 1850 then. 😆

Fault caused by a piece of clingfilm in the sump to pump hose, local education premises, they have been using it for some time now with no cap on the salt compartment. 😥

Sounds like a faulty thermocouple, should not be a major expense but will need attention from a Corgi registered engineer. Don’t attempt to repair yourself.

Just a thought, if your car was making a strange noise and started smoking, would you just carry on driving it? If your washing machine makes any unusual noises or has a leak you should stop it at once and get it looked at. How would you feel if it did actually catch fire, knowing you had ignored an obvious fault. Mains off if you are going to check further or get somone with the required skills ASAP. Please don’t keep on using the machine.

Perhaps this is also a new feature, it is really trying to fold the laundry for you. 🙄 🙂

BSH-MAN wrote:AFAIK this type does not reverse. :duck:

Well that is a retrograde step if ever I saw one. What is the point of reversing other than to untangle the washing. When I put two sheets in my old Hotpoint uni directional dryer it used to dry one and roll the other into a damp ball. I used to set the autotimer on the cooker and every 15 minutes rearrange them until they had dried enough to prevent the balling up. This is never a problem on the reversing model I currently have.
Is the extra large size of the Bosch drum supposed to prevent this, if so then it patently does not work. 😥

Apart from internal leaks, you can get overflow due to using 3 in 1 or 4 in 1 tablets on this ‘Indesit’ machine. Advise the customer to use separate, detergent, rinse aid, salt.
