And thats a good story
Heard quite a funny one yesterday whilst listening to TMS radio commentary. They were talking about ‘bowl outs’ to decide one day matches. This is when the weather has washed out all of the play and a selected number of players from each side bowl at a single stump, the equivalent of a penalty shoot out.
Apparently in one game a few years ago, dear old Devon Malcolm was taking part in a bowl out, and actually bowled a bouncer. :rotl:

Thanks for that, I do seem to recall that it was that on the last one, but it is around four years ago. 🙂

ModeratorRe: Hotpoint Washing Machine/Dryer
I now use ARM 20’s from Qualtex, there are still some genuine ones about but becoming scarce.
The 1600870 does seem to fail more than it should given its 185° temp rating, sometimes caused by user switching off before end of cycle, or prolonged use of the dryer.

If the fault occured the first time it was used after moving then it may be loose connections etc.
Perhaps if you posted in the ‘trade only’ forums we could go into more detailed suggestions. 😉iadom

Part No:1600889 after D/C81
I remember the fun I had with one of these some years ago, the machine was a recon and several different bits had been cobbled together, the facia, door and cabinet, all from different machines, I ordered three different knobs before I finally got the correct one. 😥iadom

Hello Adrian, It points towards an electronic fault, the flashes are at best a guide. Would strongly advise getting an engineer out.
Have a look here
OOPS. just spotted your address, sorry. 😳The advice still holds unless you feel capable and have some electro/mechanical knowledge. Be sure to remove the plug first.

ModeratorRe: best cars
I like my current van 😉 , a Volvo V70 SE Auto, now on my sixth Volvo. As I work entirely from home and never uplift machines, I have always used an estate car. The last three have been auto’s but I must admit I did enjoy the third one, a 940 factory chipped turbo, acceleration to match a Golf Gti at the time, fantastic in a straight line, but round corners, OMG 😯 . THe big Volvo is now a very good drive as well as being as solid and as safe as a rock.

The reason I mentioned the PCB in my earlier post was due to the fact that I had two machines with this fault in the last week.

Apparently it is a MAXX Silver. Ironic thing is, she had a Hotpoint 9000 series, that first needed brushes after four years and lasted 12 years before she changed it. because she just wanted a new one.iadom

Get yer pads on Alexa, you are needed over here. Aussies lose again, and from a strong position this time. England win with 15 balls to spare after needing over 8 runs an over of the last ten. 😆

A strong possibilty is a faulty pressure switch or associated parts, can also be caused by burnt control module, rather expensive. Not something you should change on the off chance it is that, you would be well advised to get an engineer out.
