Indeed Quick Fixs post was over 3 years ago and anything could happened in the meantime, I just wish I could purchase diesel at 3 year ago prices!

    Re: City & Guilds 2359.

We had a fridge systems engineer start with us some years ago.

He was chosen because he had more certificates of training from numerous colleges on refrigeration than Kens had Jack Daniels shots.

Sadly he only lasted 3 months as we got sick of replacing units where he had melted something whilst brazing the pipework.

He was all theory and there was no one better, sadly he wasn’t very practical.

He now teaches at a local college!

My latest guy couldn’t pass a urine test let alone any form of exam, but he was trained by R600 from this site, to do the practical side of fridge systems and is very successful for us employed on our Hoover Candy and Liebherr refrigeration contracts pretty much full time and we have no problems whatsoever.

Certificates and qualifications aren’t the be all and end all, the individuals are more important than the qualification.

    Cheers George

    Is Bryan Italian?

The original email was sent 12 July and he won’t be available to 12 August equals a month holiday, only Ken and the Italians have a month off! Ha ha

We will see what happens but I won’t hold my breath!

No stock at any of the major suppliers and two are reporting it as obsolete.

No known alternative by the looks of it.

    Sorry

The thermal fuse is notorious for failing causing the problem you have. It has been redesigned to try to over come the problem and now comes in a kit, part number 4410101001 which should be available from the shop on this site at around £6.00 plus postage.

Its a simple DIY job provided you have some basic electrical knowledge and do things safely ensuring you power off the appliance first

However it could be the clock timer has failed or the wiring itself.

If in any doubt get someone in to check it. Better safe than sorry.

    Graham hi

I believe Waterline was a brand name of PABL whom went bust some years ago.

As far as I know there is no service or spares available for this unit.
