It seems I have hit a nerve with Lotusray in the Shulthess Thread.
He is missing the point completely, I have absolutely no problem with the request for help, but calling Martin a “weigh anchor” in the general trade forum is just too much, even if it is the truth.
I am sitting here tonight nursing a 12 pack crate of Peroni 660ml and only have three more to drink before bed time.
He better watch out cos I might be the next to get the muppet avatar. Can I have the Gonzo one?

Apart from that, it’s all good clean fun and all the jibes and comments are taken in good humour, we like it that way. 😉

It is perfectly reasonable to ask for help. It is NOT acceptable for you to using vulgarity towards another member of this site. End of. FULL STOP.
Leave if you wish, that is your choice.

I am not a dictator, I am a moderator tasked with ensuring the rules of this site are maintained, which is something I will continue to do whether you like it or not. Rules you appear to not want to follow for some reason.

If you dont think your getting the help, go away, it would suit us just fine. Just remember, you don’t have a divine right to help from anyone here, they give their time, effort and knowledge for free, to help those in need.

Nope never met the Martin and if we met in the street wouldnt know each other from Adam. You will notice from reading other threads I quite often cross swords with him on numerous matters, but it is kept within the boundaries of the forum, which is all I ask you to do.
Your right, turnover doesn’t mean profit, but for clarity sake and as you bring it up, I was very happy with the £285k net profit we made last year.
We own everything too, lock stock and barrel. We own the buildings we operate from, the stock inside them, the equipment everything. We don’t borrow from the bank, we don’t have any overdrafts, in fact the only two things which are considered to be forms of credit are the vehicles which are contract hired and the fuel cards the engineers use.
My staff don’t seem to think it’s slave labour, starting salary for a basic engineer £25k per annum, with refrigeration systems skill set adds another £3.5K with gas safe registration adds another £3.5k. After 5 years service basic salary will have risen to £30k per annum, which rises in line with inflation plus 2.5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}.
They have fully expensed and funded for private use estate car which less than 3 years old, 30 days annual leave, plus statutory holidays, a non contributory pension scheme and BUPA. They have a max 10 calls per day, and 5 day working week.
No your wrong again we are not a work provider either, just a national service provider that takes work from WP’s, manufacturers direct, retailers direct, insurance companies direct and private clients including several County Councils, hotel chains, health authorities, universities, pub groups and of course cash work from customers.
We also distribute spare parts for a manufacturer (which is why we are heavier than normal admin wise) and provide the complete after sales function for another manufacturer whom brings product into the UK, which again is why we are heavier than normal admin wise, the staff are engaged in customer services operations. Which shows you have little idea about us yet wish to jump to conclusions.
I am not bragging, YOU asked the question and I merely responded. I don’t think we are better than anyone, we do our thing, others do theirs and good luck to them.
I fail to see why you expect an apology from Martin when your request was put in the terms you did. Perhaps if you expect to be treated with a degree of respect, you should offer it in the first place.

It was evidentially clear, to me anyway, that Martins post was in jest, but you took offence to it, which was entirely your wish but if you cannot take a joke, perhaps posting on here is not the place for you.
Your foul mouthed language is not the same and I take offence to it. It is incidentally against the rules of this forum to use such language and you will be moderated if it continues. By all means mock and joke but take it too far and I will interject.
I own my company outright and therefore work for myself, employing 53 engineers, 21 admin staff, several warehouse staff, we have an annual turnover in excess of £3m per year and operate nationally in this industry undertaking in excess of 1200 service calls per week on all ranges of appliance including refrigeration, gas, commercial and domestic appliances, not that any of that matters one iota; swearing and personally attacking another member in the manner you have done will not be tolerated by you or anyone else. You have been warned and now consider this a final warning on this subject.
